„The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT. Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy. Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.”

„Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.”

„Room Condition: The hotel is quite old and a bit rundown, so it’s understandable that the furniture is also aged. The table lamp/study light looked worn out and could use some maintenance. Service: Check-in at the front desk was smooth, but we faced an issue with the TV in our room. We couldn’t watch any channels at all. At first, we thought it might be due to the weather, but the TV in my parents’ room worked fine. We scanned the QR code to request assistance and received only “Noted” as a response. We sent two messages and got the same reply both times. Since there was no follow-up, we went to the front desk to report it in person, but unfortunately, no action was taken until we checked out. That was quite disappointing. Car Park: Try to avoid parking directly under the trees, as there are quite a lot of weaver ants around the area. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was okay. The kurma chicken tasted more like ayam ungkep, which was a bit misleading, but I actually loved it since I really like ayam ungkep.”

The stay was great. The staff delivered a complimentary slice of cake as the check in date coincided with my hubby’s birthday. Very nice and sweet of the reception staff. All guests received warm chocolate cookies too. Just nice to have them for supper or snack😊 Facilities were good too though we didn’t use it. Buffet Breakfast was good but we didn’t try all the food as there were just too much food to try.. room amenities were basic and good and room was spacious. Overall stay was good. Will consider coming back due to their great service. Location is also quite near to JB Sentral about 10-15 minutes walk.

Well maintained rooms! Very comfortable stay. Just knew that the studio premier room only 1 per level but the view is nice. Especially in the morning wake up to sunrise. Breakfast was generally good. Only issue is that our card key couldn’t work and caused hassle to go down and fix it. Me and kids had to wait and there’s no aircon in lift area. Staff actually came up with my husband to open the door as they don’t know why can’t validate the key!

Stayed here for a business trip. It's a standard business hotel – standard facilities, standard service, standard rooms. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. However, the room I stayed in had a really loud AC unit outside, and the bathroom had a bit of an odor, which was a letdown. Everything else was just okay.

I was given a room that has faulty air condition. The aircon was giving out hot air. I requested for a change of room and was rejected with the excuses the hotel was fully booked. They claimed to request technician to fix. In the end it wasn’t fix. Fortunately a change of room was given at 6pm.

Even though we only stayed one night, we really enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was complete and varied, and we had dinner at the Nelayan Restaurant—where the service was absolutely the best! However, I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the bathroom in our room (265, if I’m not mistaken). For a 4-star hotel, this level of cleanliness is simply unacceptable.

great food and services. An absolute paradise! The lush tropical gardens and stunning beach views made for a perfect escape. Our room was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The infinity pool was a highlight, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Exceptional dining and pure relaxation—we cannot wait to return!

Beautiful resort set in a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Staff provided good service and made us feel at home. Breakfast was decent and had a good variety.  The room was clean and cosy and the mini bar was great.  The only area for improvement is probably the room furniture which has some wear and tear and looks a little aged. The bathroom and toilet floors would impress better if given a chemical cleaning.

Quiet, tranquil hotel with a great beach front. Staff are mostly polite and courteous. Railings at my room corridor are rusty and chipboard at entrance was flaking - not great optics but didn’t affect my stay. Room interior & furnishing was very good. Bed was comfortable but rather soft. Check out that day happen to be very slow and the staff insist on collecting tourist tax from my wife tho I have paid via Trip.com when I booked (I was driving up from the car park so my wife was returning the door cards). So the staff insist it wasn’t paid & my wife paid again. Result is we had to ask for a refund.

This is a good place to stay. Though can be boring for some but we always come back to this hotel. Pros 1) Big room & very spacious 2) Great pool for adults & kids 3) Great for golfer 4) It is very green..good for the eyes 5) I love the fact they have laundry self service here but bare in mind it is a bit pricey Cons 1) We had encountered room that is not well maintained but u can always asked them to change the room or clean it better 2) Nothing special about the breakfast but it keep u full! 3) This is an old hotel so have some expectation on the rundowns 4) It is far from shops so if u want to go out u can either grab or drive out
