„The location is great, close to a nice river, next to subway station, also there is a family mart right next to the hotel, making it very convenient to fetch some late evening snacks. However, the window in the room cannot be opened, not even tiny bit for fresh air, the air gets uncomfortable when stay longer. We asked the front desk and they told us that all windows can’t be opened in this hotel but we saw from the outside that some windows do stay open, which is a litte bit disappointing.”

„Zatrzymaliśmy się tutaj na 4 noce, ponieważ oferował dobrą wartość. Lokalizacja jest dobra, 5-10 minut spacerem od stacji Juso lub 30 minut spacerem przez długi most do Umeda. W okolicy jest wiele sklepów i restauracji i kilka razy cieszyliśmy się dobrym jedzeniem w pobliżu. „Kompaktowy” pokój jest z pewnością mały, szczególnie łazienka, ale dało się nim zarządzać. Okno otwiera się, aby wpuścić świeże powietrze, a klimatyzacja służy do ogrzewania i chłodzenia (nawet jeśli karta wyjaśniająca, jak to działa, dotyczy innej wersji!). Łóżka były dość wygodne, ale nic specjalnego. W pokoju była duża lodówka do przechowywania zapasów. Wszystko było dobrze sprzątane każdego dnia. Prysznic był dobry, chociaż system wodny w łazience był naprawdę głośny, szczególnie po spuszczeniu wody w toalecie. Pokój był ogólnie cichy, ale wieczorem i rano słychać było hałas od innych gości na korytarzu, ponieważ hotel miał regularne grupy wycieczkowe przez cały tydzień i nie wydawał się utrzymywać obszaru wolnego dla innych gości. Jedliśmy gdzie indziej, więc nie próbowaliśmy śniadania ani restauracji. Wzięlibyśmy pod uwagę ten hotel ponownie, ale prawdopodobnie z opcją pokoju standardowego rozmiaru.”

„We stayed at Tokyu Stay Osaka-Hommachi for two nights during the Osaka portion of our trip coming from Tokyo. This was my fourth time in Japan and my first traveling with my toddler, so efficiency and convenience mattered more than ever with his ADHD. This is very much a business-style hotel, and it delivers well in that category. Guests receive a complimentary two-hour voucher to a WeWork-style coworking space located upstairs near reception, which includes internet access and unlimited drinks and snacks. For business travelers, that’s a strong value add. I would come here again by myself. While the staff were not fully fluent in English, they used an advanced real-time translation system displayed on a screen at the front desk. Pretty cool. It translated conversations instantly, which was impressive and made communication smooth. The staff were friendly and professional. The interaction felt slightly less personal due to the language barrier, but that’s understandable. The complimentary coffee helped bridge that gap. 24 hrs staff as well. One standout feature was their handling of our luggage forwarding from Yamato Transport. The hotel received our forwarded suitcases and held them before check-in, then delivered everything directly to our room. This was extremely helpful because we arrived from via Shinkansen, continued on to Kyoto and Nara to visit the deer and temples, and only returned to the hotel later that evening. Not having to carry luggage through multiple cities made a huge difference. Those elevators are tight! During this Osaka leg, we visited Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple, enjoyed observatory views at Abeno Harukas 300 and the Umeda Sky Building, and took a day trip to Kyoto to see the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Fushimi Inari Shrine. The hotel is about a 5–7 minute walk from three subway lines and is well positioned for accessing major attractions across the city. If you want to be more central try Namban or Umeda. With days averaging 12,000 to 15,000 steps, we often grabbed food nearby or I ordered through Uber Eats, which is surprisingly affordable compared to U.S. pricing. Options within walking distance included Matsuya, Yoshinoya, Saizeriya, and even high-end omakase sushi spots. The in-room washer/dryer was another major convenience since we packed light and relied on doing laundry mid-trip. Really wished there was a kitchen area though with dishware and utensils. Overall, Tokyu Stay Osaka-Hommachi is a practical, well-located choice for travelers who prioritize efficiency, transit access, and in-room laundry. It served as a solid home base for an active Osaka itinerary. I would come here again.”

„I’ve always loved this hotel — the location is superb, and the room size is amazing. I visit Osaka twice a year and have always stayed here without ever switching to another hotel. During our last two stays, however, we experienced an issue with the toilet, as the flush was not working properly. The staff kindly arranged a room change, which we appreciated. Everything was fine until one staff member informed us, “We found an ice cream stick inside the toilet. Please do not dispose of anything other than tissue.” Honestly, the wording was quite uncomfortable. A more considerate approach, such as “We found an ice cream stick in the toilet — may we ask if you had any ice cream?” would have conveyed the situation without sounding accusatory. The way this was communicated felt unnecessarily blaming, which was disappointing given our long-standing loyalty to the hotel.”

„Courteous, kind, friendly, and clean. By far, this is the only hotel/res. we came across in our Japan’s trip that have qualified/professional good english speakers manning their front desk. Our theatre unit comes with well-equipped private kitchen and washing machine. Located in a clean, quiet neighbourhood. 1-2 min walking distance from NAMBA Yasaka Jinja (Temple Lion) & closest 7-11. The only potential set back is it is located slightly far from NAMBA Station (Aprx. 12-15 mins walk). No complaint tho; its price, cleanliness & service justify them. We will certainly choose to stay here again next time. Thank you for having taken good care of us. Arigato Gozaimasu!”

„I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. In particular, the room was spacious and clean, the free drinks in the afternoon were nice, and the onsen included a sauna, which I used daily. Check in and check out were quick, and staff were professional. The location is very close to Ebisucho station, which meant easy transportation to the KIX airport. There is also Tennoji Park nearby, which is great for a stroll.”

„Location, room size and amenities are acceptable. But the service from the counter staff is really not up to standard. She served a Caucasian couple first despite that they came after us. Secondly. My wife and my toddler were handling 3 big luggages as I was parking my car. Absolutely no help was rendered to them despite there was a hotel staff standing infront. Chose not to provide any help. My wife requested help and yet she was responded with a ”You can use the luggage trolley over there. And please return to this floor after use.” So now we have to be our own bell boy now? Paying hefy room prices for such uncompassionate service. A lady with a toddler was seeking help and it was not reciprocated with a hint of kindness and empathy from the hotel staff. 2 star hotel service would be better than them!”
