This is a fantastic hotel. Due to flight issues, I checked in late at night, but the lobby was incredibly warm and comfortable, with a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere. The environment is truly outstanding. It faces a large park, offering lovely views, and the transportation is convenient as it's right in the city center and very close to the airport. The lobby fireplace was cozy, and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, treating guests like family. The room was very clean and tidy, hygienic, and comfortable. It was spacious, and the bedding was excellent – clean and very comfortable to use. The bathroom was great, and the room overall was very spacious, neat, bright, and grand. Everything felt relatively new. I would definitely stay here again next time. It offers great value for money.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with pots, a range hood, and a toaster. Booking early definitely saved me some money compared to booking 3-4 days before. The hotel's location is excellent, and the surroundings are beautiful (P2, P3). It's in the heart of Christchurch, a 5-minute walk from the Avon River, and about 10-15 minutes on foot to the botanical garden entrance. I also walked to the city's bus interchange. For the airport, you can take bus routes 8 or 29, which is also about an 8-minute walk away. The front desk staff seemed to be Indian, and communication in English was smooth. Ctrip recommended I change my room type booking to get the lowest total price for two consecutive nights, but this might have required me to switch rooms the next morning. I spoke with the front desk, and she patiently helped me stay in the higher-priced room for both nights (without having to switch rooms); I just needed to reactivate my key card the next morning. After 10:30 PM, the hotel's front desk is unstaffed. If you check in too late, they will leave your room key in a coded box outside the main entrance and send the code to your email. The only minor issue is that a casino in Christchurch is right next to the hotel (P1), about a 5-minute walk away. However, the security at night is actually quite good (P4) – it's livelier than Auckland at night. I wandered around until 8:30 PM and didn't see anyone who was drunk on my way back to the hotel.

This Novotel is located within walking distance to the tram station and the famous New Regent Street. The beds are also comfortable. Our only problem with the room is that with its large bathroom there is not even a single hook on the wall for hanging used towel. There is also no heated drying rack, which should be a rather common in-room facility found in many other hotels in NZ. The only sink / washing basin is right outside the bathroom, and it is tiny compared to the large bathroom. In short, the bathroom has a terrible wasted space issue.

The hotel environment and facilities are very new and clean. It's located right next to the airport, just a few minutes' walk away, which is super convenient for travelers catching a 6 AM flight, eliminating any transportation worries. Also, because we were concerned our rental car wouldn't have enough space for all our luggage, I emailed the hotel to ask if we could store our bags a few days before our check-in when we arrived in Christchurch, and then pick them up when we officially checked in days later. The hotel quickly replied by email, confirming it was possible and free of charge. They even arranged for my family to stay in the adjacent room for easier care. This was truly fantastic! 😀

The Hilton Garden Inn Christchurch Airport is a true treasure. Its English castle-like estate and beautiful sprawling gardens are perfect for photos. Upon check-in, we were greeted with warm cookies. The room was spacious, the king bed was comfortable, and the heating was excellent. They offer a free, large parking lot and it's conveniently located near the airport and the Botanic Gardens. The breakfast even caters to Chinese palates with fried rice and dumplings. Plus, there's a heated pool and a gym. On the downside, the building shows its age a bit, breakfast isn't included, and it's a bit of a walk to the city center. This hotel is definitely a top choice for those traveling by car.

The hotel was truly amazing and a wonderful place to call home for a few nights. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything! Oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove, utensils…everything! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a washing machine and dryer too! There is a working fireplace and the views were stunning ❤️Ours was the two bedroom villa; one room has a bathroom attached with a jacuzzi tub and the other bathroom is not attached to the second bedroom. This bathroom has a shower only, no tub. The second bedroom is actually two super singles joined together so you could possibly request for that configuration. We found that the shower stall in the smaller bathroom has a poor design as water flows from the shower through the grooves between floor tiles and makes the whole place wet. This was perhaps the only down side to this place. The good at the restaurant is reasonably priced and wonderful quality. The location of the hotel is strategic for trekking to the Rakaia Gorge and also for driving to Edoras (or Mt Sunday) where LOTR’s filming took place.

Stayed here for 11 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location was very convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The room was cozy and provided everything I needed for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever assistance was needed. After staying here for nearly two weeks, it really started to feel like a home away from home. I checked out today and was actually a little sad to leave. Thank you for making my stay in Christchurch so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The sunrise over the sea streams directly into your room in the morning, and at night, you can hear the gentle sound of the waves. The guest rooms are spacious, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the whole room has a modern, minimalist design. Since it's a relatively new hotel, the facilities are brand new with no signs of age or unpleasant odors. The soundproofing throughout the room is excellent, completely blocking out road noise. 3. **Comprehensive and Thoughtful Amenities** The hotel features an outdoor heated swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after water activities. There's also a small gym, convenient for a quick workout during a road trip. The daily buffet breakfast offers a rich variety of options, including local New Zealand sausages, fresh fruit, and made-to-order eggs – all delicious. The 24-hour front desk service is gentle and accommodating, and they even give a complimentary teddy bear souvenir to guests with children, a truly heartwarming detail. The hotel has its own free parking, so self-driving guests have no worries about parking. The Wi-Fi signal in public areas is stable. 4. **Pleasant Dining Atmosphere** The restaurant and bar, with their floor-to-ceiling windows, offer direct sea views. Enjoy a glass of local wine in the evening while watching the sunset; the ambiance is absolutely perfect.

The location is fantastic, right in the city center. It's just a few hundred meters to the Cardboard Cathedral and Riverside Market, and the hotel is in a shopping district so you can go shopping as soon as you step out. However, the room is tiny, especially the bathroom – if you're a bit on the larger side, you might struggle to even get in. Plus, there's no closet, and a large suitcase won't fit anywhere. On the bright side, the room cleaning service is very good; someone tidies up every day, and the towels are always replaced with fresh ones.
