It’s tough, long and in fairly good condition. BUT the bunkers are awful. For me to consider returning they need to set them out. Compacted, flooded, grass growing in them. They need a full overhaul."

"Hotel nie zasługuje na 5 gwiazdek. Jesteśmy niezadowoleni z pobytu. Notorycznie w restauracji hotelowej w szczególności w porze obiadu i kolacji brakuje jedzenia oraz talerzy - nie są uzupełniane na bieżąco. Gdyby nie nasza interwencja nasz pokój nie byłby sprzątany, w tym nie mielibyśmy wymienionych ręczników kąpielowych przed 3 dni - 2 dni pokój nie był sprzątany i nie były wymienione ręczniki. Basen jest nie sprzątany, podłoga wokoło basenu przy leżakach jest brudna. W środku basenu jest dużo brudu w tym śmieci pozostawionych przez gości hotelowych. Nadto obsługa nie monitoruje stanu żelu pod prysznic. Mimo zgłoszenia braku żelu w pokoju na recepcji, żel został uzupełniony dopiero dnia następnego w godzinach popołudniowych. O „wszytko”musimy się prosić - tak nie powinna wyglądać obsługa i pobyt w hotelu 5 gwiazdkowym. Generalnie obsługa w tym hotelu naszym zdaniem jest niedoświadczona - przykład zostaliśmy wprowadzeni w błąd przez pracownika recepcji co do kosztów i zasad wypożyczenia samochodu - zamiast 127Eur okazało się że mamy zapłacić 387 Eur. Bywamy w różnych hotelach 5 * w różnych częściach światach stąd nasze oburzenie na obsługę w tym hotelu - nadmieniam że zapłaciliśmy jak na warunki portugalskie wysoką cenę za dwutygodniowy pobyt naszej 4 osobowej rodzinny. Wykupoliśmy pobyt w TUI które bardzo polecało ten hotel - rekomendacja nietrafna. Wykupiliśmy z Tui 4 wycieczki, regularnie płacimy hotelowi za rezerwację Balibed 35 Eur - łącznie 5 razy zatem hotel dodatkowo zarobił 175 Eur - nie jesteśmy gośćmi hotelowi co tylko narzekają- płacimy konkretne pieniądze za pobyt i mamy takie same wymagania."

"Położenie tego hotelu jest świetne, tuż na plaży Alvor. Łaźni są witane i wydajne. A sprzątacze przychodzą regularnie. Jednak zakwaterowanie jest datowane i podstawowe. Łazienka potrzebna jest aktualizacja i drzwi nie były dźwiękoszczelne. Było nam zawiedzione, że reklama basenu wewnętrznego była zamknięta na stałe. Jest również dodatkowa opłata za sejf, który odkryliśmy tylko po przyjeździe."

"The hotel was lovely and very well maintained - rooms and ground. Good selection of food for breakfast with menu options for lunch (which we didn’t try). Right next to a gorgeous beach which wasn’t that busy at all with a variety of restaurants available close by on the board walk and a 20 minute walk to Alvor. Not many problems encountered at all. Only thing was that sometimes your room wouldn’t be cleaned until the end of the day (5pm) so just something to be aware of although depends what room you have and when it sits on the list plus also factoring in how many full room turnovers they have to do as well. I do wonder if they need more housekeeping staff, especially if the hotel gets busier?"

The team works hard, and America's fabulous hostels AFHs recommends it as one of the algarve'a premier hostels. I hereby nickname it the Alvor WHITE HOUSE of the hostel empire! "You’ll find Foz Club down a pretty beaten up road which, if you’re in a taxi, the driver will gripe about. This goes for any taxi you get while staying here! But when you get there, you’ll get a genuinely warm greeting that you can’t help but be charmed by. If you don’t have a car, factor in taxis back from town, but you can walk there in about 40 mins via the cliff top, beach and boardwalk. The host is very laid back and welcoming which is lovely. I’d recommend Foz Club but would say go ready to embrace something a little eclectic. It’s not run of the mill, but that’s what makes it special. "

"family of 5. 3 childrens ( 12, 10 and 7) we booked the hotel direct and this was the start of the first class service. The hotel arranged the transfer from Faro for us and we always found the staff very helpful . Especially the restaurant, Monica and her team( more about that later) We stayed in a villa that was massive. 3 floors , 3 terraces, Lower floor consisted of 2 bedrooms ( suitable for 3 kids) and 2 bathrooms. mid level was the entrance , dining and kitchen, and the top was the lounge. The decor is slightly dated , however interior design was not the reason for the holiday and everything was clean and worked. The complex has a well stocked shop, several restaurants and 2 no. pools that we took full advantage of. The atlantico pool is fantastic. We were there for a week and should have stayed longer, We had a walk to Alvor (about 30 mins with plenty of stops for refreshments) , we had a day at splash and slide ( brilliant) and a little visit to Praire da rocha ( as expected) To conclude - we stayed half board and this made the holiday even better. Firstly we didn't have to cook! but secondly and more important Monica and her team looked after us every morning and night - what a team. Always smiling, welcoming and accommodating. Thankyou all."
