The tour even passes by the Mekong riverside villa featured at the beginning of the movie "Sheep Without a Shepherd 3." I haven't had a chance to try the hotel's floating platform yet, but I'd like to experience it sometime."

"The detached house is located by the river, facing due west. When we checked in, the staff hadn't turned on the air conditioning or drawn the curtains beforehand. The room was like being in an oven under the blazing sun, and it took two hours to bring the temperature down. The bed was narrower than in a typical hotel and not very comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was the same size as the room and had a hydro-massage bathtub, but the hot water supply was very weak. I don't know how long it would take to fill the tub with hot water if we wanted to use it. The only redeeming quality was the nice restaurant environment and the decent food selection."

"The room was very comfortable, the pool was the perfect temperature, the Ardea is quiet and extremely close to the Khlong, yet far enough away to be quiet. Best of all, the staff there are amazing. On arriving we were served a refreshing drink, then a whole chilled coconut with its juice, later sections of pomelo. Breakfast offered a choice of several complete meals. My husband forgot his sunglasses and someone from the Ardea tracked us down at the train station to return them to him! The people there definitely go above and beyond what we would expect. They are friendly but not overbearing. I couldn’t recommend it more highly."

"The Location was Super. You could go out the Back Gate and be at the River and Market in 1 to 2 minutes. Walking Distance to the City Market and Amphawa Market. We parked our car for 2 days and enjoyed what Amphawa had to offer. Room was fine, clean and Thai Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again."
