"Pleasant hotel in the centre of Antequera, very pleasant staff and attentive"

"We chose this hotel to celebrate a big anniversary which sadly turned out to be a big mistake. Whilst the hotel itself is nice, it’s quite basic and old fashioned, it could have been a lovely place to celebrate. Because it’s far from the town of Antequera you really have choice but to use the hotel restaurant, which seemed like a good idea. With very limited non meat options (no chicken) we opted for Ratatouille Lasagne. However what we got was a starter or children's sized portion of vegetables neatly shaped. There was no resemblance to lasagne. The hotel explained later that it was their interpretation. The price of €16 each was very poor value and due to language barriers we couldn’t complain until the next day at check out. I asked that the hotel contact us by email which they did 3 days later offering nothing more than a feeble justification. This is just extremely poor customer service and based on that we would neither recommend nor return. Our special occasion was anything but special."

"Simple room with capacity for 3 people. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of breakfasts and meals. The specialty is Antequera-style bread roll with ham, and toast with tomato and olive oil. A variety of regional sweets are also available."
