Romantik Hotel Säntis

"A superb hotel right on the main square in Appenzell city. A beautiful building, with traditional architecture. Our room was huge, with sofa and easy chairs, tables, etc. All the windows opened, which in the good weather was very pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast in our rooms via room service, and food was good. The staff speaks English (if that's important to you) and is cordial, professional and attentive. The bathroom was enormous, very up to date and clean. This was one of the finest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in, anywhere. Expensive, but high quality. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station, mostly through a car-free pedestrian zone."

Hotel Hecht Appenzell

"Older hotel with very modern bathroom. Byzantine hallways are confusing. Staff was nice. Room comfortable and clean, rather dated. View from room was of another old building, not attractive. Breakfast was ok. Location good in cute town."

Hotel Löwen

"The lady at the reception was very friendly. The rooms were excellent, as was the hotel's location. The only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. It started with the lack of greeting from the staff; you could tell them they didn't feel like working. The buffet was almost empty, and unfortunately, there were no fresh eggs. A shame considering the high price of breakfast."

"Mały, uroczy, rodzinny hotel na placu miasta w Appenzell. Nasz pokój był czysty, przytulny i unikalny z oszałamiający widok. Wszyscy pracownicy hotelu i restauracji byli bardzo przyjazni i uważni. Dwa razy obiadliśmy w restauracji i jedzenie było wspaniałe."
