I recently stayed at Mercure Kota Kinabalu, and my overall experience was a mixture of positives and negatives. The hotel's ambiance and service were generally acceptable, but a couple of aspects left me with a less than perfect impression. On the positive side, the room, although not the promised city view, was comfortable and well-maintained. The amenities provided were standard and met our basic needs for a short stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, adding a pleasant touch to our overall experience. However, one notable drawback was the discrepancy in the room description. Despite being assured of a city view, we were assigned a room overlooking the opposite facing the busy road. While this may seem like a minor issue, it did impact our overall satisfaction, as the promise of a particular view was one of the factors influencing our choice. Another inconvenience was the lack of dedicated parking facilities at the hotel. This meant that my husband had to purchase parking coupons daily, adding an unexpected expense to our stay. Moreover, the strict enforcement of parking regulations by 8 am posed a challenge, especially for guests who preferred to start their day later. In conclusion, Mercure Kota Kinabalu is a decent choice for a short stay, offering comfortable accommodations and friendly service. However, potential guests should be aware of potential discrepancies in room assignments and the absence of on-site parking facilities, which may affect the overall convenience and cost of their stay.

So, the unit is not too bad, ok for me for a one night stay. I needed 2 rooms and it works. But please know that this is actually an airbnb set up. It is not a hotel. Hence you will need to get instructions to get keys before getting there. Getting the key is a pain in the ass. Lift to the letter box took too long. So this is not for impatient person like me. Cleanliness inside the unit is ok, only one comment is the toilet light is so dim & the shower head is already faulty and not not changed. Other than the unit cleanliness of the condo building is bad. Such a shame as the condo is located at the most prime area, with perfect sea view. I won’t repeat this stay.

During my stay, there was a water disruption. The owner should inform me earlier and it was not a good stay. We have to check out early the next day just to find a toilet which has a water supply. At least, when the owner knows there is a water disruption, they should prepare water stock for toilet usage and washing dishes. Home is clean and nice but when water supply is in trouble, everything will be a mess.

This was way long overdue but I could finally sit down and remember that I owe the lovely owner a review from Dec 2014. Eden54 was part of our stay in KK in our honeymoon trail and I can say the location is very strategic. Almost all is within a walking distance and it helped that my wife too knew the locales. Food, watefront, groceries and convenience stores are a stone throw away. The manager (Madam Grace if I remember it correctly) that time was very friendly even though we checked in late. The room setup was satisfactory and I could not recall any qualms with the quality. TLDR, will definitely come back in the next KK holiday trip, and this time with additional heads. :)

Excellent location. Very near to waterfront, shopping mall and eateries. However, hotel management need to improve on bathroom cleanlines especially on behind the toilet seat and shower wall accumulated with mold. I stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping was missed on one occassion. It is a waste such a nice hotel in prime location with that kind of services.

I was glad I have made the right decision to stay here. Wad here for Mt Kinabalu climb. I checked out and store my luggage here for the climb and came back the next day. Also worth mentioning was the Italian restaurant downstairs, Little Italy, was quite popular among the locals.

The transportation was good, the sea view was good, and it was very nice. The swimming pool on the rooftop is clean and nice. I can't forget the sunset view.

This is our last stop in Malaysia. It feels like coming home. It’s really great! Sleeping very comfortably 😌 Environment: Let’s talk about the environment first. It has a warm and creamy style, is simple and bright, and does not have any non-environmentally friendly smell, so you can feel at ease. Facilities: Better than expected 👍. Not only are there induction cookers and microwaves for cooking, but also cooking oil is prepared. This is especially suitable for family travel. Sometimes the elderly and children can make meals at home to make them more palatable. got it! Shampoo, hand soap, and dishwashing liquid are all available. These details are really considerate for people traveling. The bread machine is also very good. My mother even said that she would buy a bread machine when she comes home. Hygiene: It is a good habit to wear slippers when entering the house, which maintains good hygiene. The sheets and quilts do not smell, which is very reassuring. Service: The lady was very considerate. Because we stayed for three days, she even took the initiative to ask if the toilet paper was enough. It happened to be almost used up, and my mother had to go out to buy it, so she delivered it. It was very considerate! They also kindly provided some travel suggestions, which were very pertinent to us. Location: Since it is in the city center, it is very convenient to go anywhere. You can basically walk to Gaya Street, and the shopping malls and duty-free shops are even closer. What’s more, it is close to the port, so the scenery is really invincible! Love it, love it

I really like this youth hostel. It has just opened. The hardware and facilities are all new. The transportation is very convenient. It is very close to the pier and shopping malls. It can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The staff service is also very good. I stayed here for several days. , very comfortable, will go again next time!

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…
