This family-run Bai guesthouse shows real care and investment in every detail, from spotless rooms to thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. The beds and pillows are genuinely comfortable, and quiet nights guarantee real rest. Amenities here are better than anywhere else we stayed in Yunnan, and unlike listings that overpromise, this place truly delivers on cleanliness. The free shuttle to Shaxi Old Town (5-7 min) is a big plus. We were upgraded to a better room, enjoyed simple Western touches at breakfast, and were invited to dinner with fresh homegrown produce 😍. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We highly recommend this guesthouse and hope to return soon, confident they will keep up the quality and warm hospitality we experienced. —————— ¡Detente si reservaste solo una noche! No solo es un auténtico pueblo Bai, sino que es un lugar hermoso y perfecto para desconectar del estrés. Si buscas en Shaxi un alojamiento realmente limpio, cómodo y con vistas tranquilas a la naturaleza, este es tu lugar. Esta casa de huéspedes, regentada por una encantadora familia Bai, refleja cuidado e inversión en cada detalle, desde la limpieza impecable hasta toques que te hacen sentir en casa. Las camas y almohadas son muy cómodas, y el silencio de la noche asegura un descanso profundo. Aquí colocan más amenities que en cualquier otro alojamiento en el que estuvimos en Yunnan, y cumplen lo que prometen en cuanto a limpieza. El transporte gratuito al pueblo de Shaxi (5-7 min) es un gran plus. Nos ofrecieron una habitación mejor a la reservada, desayunos con toques occidentales y nos invitaron a cenar con productos de su propia cosecha. Recomendamos mucho este alojamiento y esperamos volver pronto, confiando en que mantendrán la calidad y calidez que nos brindaron.

This is my first time writing a review because I am so grateful to the owner of this hotel! This hotel is located 20-30 minutes walk from the old town, which makes your stay comfortable and quiet from the noise. The hotel provides bicycles to get to the old town. But do not rush to worry. Even though we came here by rented car, due to the holidays, the traffic was too difficult and Mr. Dahua kindly drove us there and picked us up back. Honestly, I have rarely met such kindness. You can also walk around this village to feel the local way of life. Mr. Dahua did everything to make our stay amazing. His wife cooks incredibly delicious food. We could not even think that we could eat anywhere else. I assure you, from the first seconds of your stay here, you will feel like a part of this wonderful family. This hotel is not just a business - this hotel is part of this family and every corner of it is imbued with love for this place. Mr. Dahua also speaks English and can advise and organize local sightseeing tours for you. We cannot express how grateful we are to this family! I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place.

A little far out from the old town area, in a small village looking out to farm land. close to the famous bookstore (walkable). New place that is done up nicely, with a beautiful courtyard and little koi pond. Room has modern fittings in toilet and very cosy. However no air conditioning (not able to adjust temperature well at night). No television also - but that can be a plus or minus point depending on individual travel needs. Host and service staff were all very polite, efficient and prompt. Dinner was home cooked food in restaurant of the homestay, and breakfast was traditional local mixian (rice noodles). Portions are huge as well. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and quaint homestay with a personal touch in Shaxi!

I was apprehensive about this hotel because the taxi couldn’t go all the way to the door step as it is within the Shaxi Old Town. But I was also filled with high expectation because the rooms were pretty expensive. The 2 young men who came to transport our luggage in a small cart work very swiftly & we were given a free upgrade because we extended another night. The architecture of the hotel was interesting and the landscaping of the pond made the whole hotel homely. The staff were mostly young men and they were exceptionally attentive to us. Their service was top notch. They helped us settle our big load of laundry in the self service dryer into the early morning because they knew we would have missed our sleep if we had to watch over our laundry. Food: The cross bridge Mee Xian breakfast was delicious. Must come to Shaxi Old Town if you come to Dali. Must stay in this hotel!

Beautiful property in an elegantly and sensitively restored old Bai house. Location is in a small village outside of Shaxi old town, and the hotel will gladly fetch us to and from the town centre in a 3 minute car or buggy ride. It's nice to have a glimpse of real villagers instead of being isolated in the touristy Shaxi old town. We stayed in the ground floor room facing the courtyard. With the doors opened, we could really enjoy the courtyard. A minor inconvenience of the ground floor room was that we could hear the footsteps and creaking floorboards of the room above. But we weren't too disturbed by it. The room was luxurious and well equipped, with classy lighting and electric bidet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again

Ten apartament był tymczasowy dwa dni przed wyjazdem, ponieważ w tym roku, kiedy mój mąż i mama wyszli z mamą, chciały wybrać wygodny apartament, wymalowano go na ławce, a styl dekoracji lubił cenę, a ławka jest idealna dla nas. Po przyjeździe, najpierw został podgrzewany przez szefa i żonę, bardzo intymny i inteligentny, zakochałem się w piasku, oddałem samochód szefa, nie musimy myśleć o parkingu, zaleciłem wiele pysznych restauracji. Wchodzisz do domku, ładnie urządzasz, a także do piekarni, barów i innych obiektów, i żałujesz, że nie wszedłeś do pokoju na noc. Po wejściu do pokoju, cieszę się, że pokój jest duży, okno jest duże, każdy kąt jest czysty, klimatyzacja jest ciepła, łóżko jest wygodne, łóżko jest wygodne, łoże są wysoce rozłożone, a łapki są chudne, a dla takich jak ja, którzy wychodzą na zewnątrz, takie ustawienie jest do głębokiego snu. - Czy to nie jest kompletne? W Wiosnę, nasza przyjaciółka siedziała razem, patrząc na wiosnę i gapiąc się na herbatę, mówiąc, że jest szczęśliwa! To miejsce jest dla wszystkich przyjaciół.

I shared a room next to the lobby with a friend with twin beds . The floor was heated and the room was very new and modern . There was one problem with the room . The bathroom was an open style so there was no wall nor partition making it hard to shower and get changed when my friend was around in the room . This room would not work for two friends to share but only couples . It had created quite a bit of inconveniences for us. I highly suggest that a partition or sliding doors be installed to increase the privacy of the users . The staffs were very kind and we were offered free massage for our head and shoulders . The thai lady who gave me a thai massage was super good and made my trip very memorable.

We had an amazing stay at Guan Rui. The hotel is newly built (about two years old), a beautiful wooden house situated in the quieter part of town, which allowed us to really relax and take in the surroundings. The hosts and staff were incredibly kind and welcoming - when I had asked for dinner options nearby where we could have food delivered to the hotel, the hosts offered to help us order food in and even invited us to join them for dinner. We had a lovely chat and this made us feel right at home! Small bites offered over tea and breakfast were great too. They had a choice of noodles or sandwiches, which was a nice change from the other Chinese food we’ve been having throughout our trip.  The location is perfect — just a short walk to some cozy cafes with beautiful views, where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Shaxi. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the electric blankets that kept us warm through the chilly night.  Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I wish we had stayed on longer. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Shaxi!!

what a memorable stay. we should've planned to stay here longer. this was probably our most memorable stay during our yunnan trip. location was perfect. it was outside of the ancient town by the country side. our view was endless rows of fields. riding on the ebike and bicycle around the smaller villages of beilongcun and hualongcun was super fun. it is so peaceful around those areas. going to the ancient town is easy as hemu provides shuttle for us. shaxi ancient town is the best ancient town in yunnan province. it is small but has the most charm. that's why we would recommend to stay here longer to enjoy what this area has to offer. room was small but adequate and accommodating. the property is gorgeous and well thought of where they combine the old with the new. breakfast was fantastic and they make great coffee. tea set was lovely as we had it while sitting outside looking at the fields. they also gave us many gifts, which was so kind of them. communication is great and they provided us with everything we needed. we highly recommend staying at hemu. you will love it.

酒店在大理劍川縣的一個小村子—石龍村。位於石寶山景區內，距離沙溪古鎮40分鐘車程。酒店周邊有寶相寺（雲南版懸空寺）石鐘山石窟等景點。遊玩其中充分感受歷史文化與自然景觀的完美融合。這裏沒有沙溪的人流如織，更加的避世。       酒店建築採用當地傳統的夯土建築樣式作為建築基礎。坐落在石龍水庫旁，依山而建，錯落有序。每一個房間都是單獨的一棟建築，但有着巨大的落地窗，打開窗户可以直接到面對風景。      山裡的夜晚比較冷，酒店很温馨的準備了熱騰騰冰糖雪梨湯，驅散夜晚的寒意。      酒店員工很多都是石龍村當地人，很熱情貼心，帶着我去村裡麪散步，一邊走一邊介紹當地的民俗文化。遇到的每一個村裡的人都很有禮貌的打招呼
