My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

The service was great and the family was very kind. The garden, rooms and buildings were beautiful and very charming. The B&B dog was very cute and well behaved. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to explore the B&B and pet the dog as much as we wanted, since we spend most time at the nearby attractions! Both lunch, dinner and breakfast was great and the menu seemed to include a lot of delicious traditional Anhui cuisine. We had the stinky fish and braised chicken for dinner and it was absolutely amazing and interesting to try a different Chinese kitchen. We had a great stay and we would definitely recommend staying here!

環境：環境很好，門口就是草坪和稻田，還有吸引我此次前來的交叉小徑。周邊四面環山，空氣清新，趕上這兩天又很涼爽不曬，就是想看的綠油油的稻田都已經成熟收割完畢，有點遺憾。 服務：不管是前台的小姐姐還是餐廳阿姨，服務都很到位，停車引導、行李幫拿、就餐詢問、房間介紹還有茶點安排都很周到。 設施：給我們升級到了一樓帶庭院的房間，總體感覺房間小了點，略微缺少可以隨手放置物品的地方，白色的裝修很舒服耐看。

Wonderful and quiet inn at the heart of ancient Xidi village. The owner was incredibly helpful and charming and made sure I was well looked after. The room was excellent. They only offer disposable towels. So I suggest you bring your own towel. Xidi village itself is fantastic. Full of art students during the day but peaceful at night. It is a maze of narrow streets. A very friendly and welcoming place. The local post office is full of lovely manga postcards left by the art students.

The Homestay is gorgeous and I especially liked the wonderful historical decorations of the small yard and rooms. You need to contact the owners when you want to check in and they will pick you up from the next parking lot. You cannot drive your car to the yard. The yard is located right in the center of the historic village, which makes it very convenient to explore this place! The room had even a small whirlpool! The owners were very friendly and even offered us a free coffee!

Lokalizacja jest znakomita, bardzo blisko Lucun, Hongcun i Tachuan, do których można dojechać samochodem. Całe lobby wypełnia zapach trawy cytrynowej, tworząc relaksującą, wakacyjną atmosferę. Jeśli chodzi o pokoje, większość zdjęć w internecie jest myląca. Aby zobaczyć Lucun, należy zarezerwować najmniejszy apartament, Luyuan Suite, i upewnić się, że zostanie on zarezerwowany z wyprzedzeniem w recepcji. Wszystkie pokoje mają jednak ogrzewanie podłogowe, dzięki czemu zimą jest w nich bardzo ciepło i wygodnie. Obsługa jest podzielona na dwie części. Większość młodych pracowników wydawała się nieco ospała i nieodpowiedzialna, nie znając godzin otwarcia restauracji, a nawet udzielając błędnych wskazówek. Wyglądali, jakby dopiero zaczynali. Z kolei starsze panie z restauracji były bardzo przyjazne, zwłaszcza pani Wang, która uprzejmie pomagała nam przyjmować zamówienia, zmieniać miejsca, a nawet pokazywała nam na telefonie zdjęcia śnieżnego krajobrazu Huangshan. Bez niej prawdopodobnie dałbym obsłudze ocenę niedostateczną.

Such a fantastic place to stay in this magical village… we felt extremely welcomed since our arrival, the room was so tidy and comfy with all the amenities you could wish for. The breakfast was delicious with attention to all the details including making their own soy milk. We also had dinner there on our last night and the food was nothing short of a fancy restaurant but with the care of a homemade meal. I will never forget my time here… the village is also one of the most magical places I had the chance to visit. The staff helped us get a taxi to our next destination, they were really nice people and we wish to visit them again someday. Thank you!

Great room with modern equipments. The mix between old and new was a good idea. But big warning : we arrived, the room was disgusting. Hairs everywhere on the floor, bathroom with poop traces on toilets, surfaces like tables were dirty. Futhermore, we stayed 1 week. They changed the sheets, bathroom stuffs aswell and gave us water. But thats all. Not cleaning in a week. Please, you need to be careful about hygien because this is really scary. Ps : the hotel manager was a kind person but sleeping and smoking on the coach isnt professionnel. Pitty we had to do our cleaning because this could have been a awesome week on this accommodation.

This place is magical. It's an oasis of peace and creativity that looks and feels like a living museum. Nature, the host, is a very interesting and warm person. From moment one we felt welcome and inspired. Definitely the most unique place we've visited in China and a must for anyone who is interested in art, Chinese history, architecture, nature and much more. Thank you Nature! We hope to be back soon.

Good stay except for one small issue that should have been addressed better. The room I stayed in had faulty electrical connections so many light switches were mixed up and the bathroom shower light did not turn on. We had to shower in the dark. I raised the issue to a worker and she accused me of not knowing how to use light switches. She further complained to me about another customer who raised similar issues to her. It was very unprofessional. Later that day, a different worker came to the room to look at the problem and confirmed that the switches didn’t work, and he said there is no way to fix it. They did not offer anything to resolve the issue. I will not stay here again.
