Yixian Inns

My family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site. One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days. At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us. Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

Owners were very kind to pick us up from the entrance of Hongcun and assisted us with our luggage. The Inn is located within the village which makes it convenient to return home after walking through the village streets at night. The room is spacious, bright and clean. We loved the large living space where we could hang out with family and chit chat. There's a cute puppy at the reception and the owners were very considerate to put it on a leash whenever my mum was around as she's afraid of dogs. Would recommend this to all who're thinking of visiting Hongcun!

夫妻倆經營的客棧，兩人都很熱情。開車過去的，提前聯繫了，還好老闆娘提前幫忙找了停車位，不然根本沒地方停車。客棧環境很乾凈，兩張1.5米的床，一家三口住，非常不錯。客棧離宏村門口很近，步行大約五分鐘。價格也合適。非常nice👍

The Inn is located inside the Scenic area, the room is clean but relatively small especially the bathroom. The soundproofing is poor as you can hear clearly what’s happening at the next room. The common area at the ground floor is a bit messy. Quite dark at night. The only plus point is the Inn is located inside the Scenic area. Actually the Inn’s location is a bit difficult for a traveler to find, if the owner hadn’t come out to fetch me, I wouldn’t have been able to find the Inn at all. Besides that, the pathway at the Scenic area is made of stone, full of potholes and quite dirty, thus it’d be a nightmare to pull a luggage all the way from the bus station to the Inn. The Scenic area has become too commercial and super crowded, it is impossible to have a nice and quiet stroll to enjoy the scenery. The only time you can have a quiet walk is before 6am morning. I myself will definitely not coming back.

早就想來皖南看看水墨江南了 很高興來到西遞訂到了這家民宿古居·半耕草堂 真的是一次特別愉快的住宿體驗 這家店是明清保存下來的古居改成的 衹做了四間房 進門就受到深深的歷史沉澱感 院裏院外都是客棧老闆自己淘置的老物件古董古蹟 明顯的感到房主的用心經營 我們來時已經傍晚 沿着西遞古村的田野小路踏進了客棧 “燈火深時書有味，墨花晨綻字生香”用這句詩來形容草堂的夜景是更合適不過了。管家小哥非常熱心的給我們介紹每處建築環境細節來由 旁邊有個小閣樓真是讓我驚喜不斷 一樓是茶室 管家小哥熱情耐心地挑選茶葉茶品 供我們浸泡飲用 真的有被感動到🥹 二樓是觀景台還有架古箏 牆上處處的字畫瓷器木雕等等 足以讓人聯想到古時大户人家的院門生活。入住這家民宿 真的幫我加了很多分 沉浸學習到很多徽州文化帶來的魅力 給我這次“文化之旅”圓滿的畫上了句號哈哈。 下次再來一定還會入住半耕草堂 這邊去附近碧山 呈坎 宏村 屏山等等景區都很近！😊

Great room with modern equipments. The mix between old and new was a good idea. But big warning : we arrived, the room was disgusting. Hairs everywhere on the floor, bathroom with poop traces on toilets, surfaces like tables were dirty. Futhermore, we stayed 1 week. They changed the sheets, bathroom stuffs aswell and gave us water. But thats all. Not cleaning in a week. Please, you need to be careful about hygien because this is really scary. Ps : the hotel manager was a kind person but sleeping and smoking on the coach isnt professionnel. Pitty we had to do our cleaning because this could have been a awesome week on this accommodation.

偶爾網上刷到的民宿，看是喜歡的裝修風格，就訂了。 果然，網不欺我。非常安靜的小院子，晚上拍到了 滿天繁星，然後一夜好眠。 老闆是個人美心善的小姑娘，離店的時候忘了把房卡放下，等老闆電話過來，人已到了盧村。 最後把房卡放在宏村某快遞點，害小姑娘百忙之中跑一趟，真的很抱歉。 民宿的狗狗也非常可愛，狗隨主人。😁 民宿離奇墅湖不遠，一大早去拍晨霧，可能是時間點不對，還有拍的技術不行，效果一般。 如果想在民宿用餐，需要提前預約。 川西和皖南是我的最愛之一之二，人生的第三次皖南行，完美。 準備買張黃山年卡，春天再來。

Very nice stay. A bit difficult to find for us, maybe easier if you speak chinese 😁 Sweet lady, and good location.

W pobliżu drzewa wioski, jeśli masz bagaż, możesz dostać się do drzewa wioski na północ od zachodnich bram, w przeciwnym razie wejdź do środka i przejdź przez kamienną drogę, nie można przeciągać skrzyni. Pierwsza droga w prawo od pierwszej drogi, pierwszej w lewo od zachodniego bramy, na minutę. Właściciel jest w porządku, pojedziemy do głównej bramy. Mimo że to jest pokój, czyszczenie jest czyste, mieszkamy na drugim piętrze również nie jest mokre jesienne i zimowe, łazienka nie jest sucha i mokre, jest dość duża w obiekcie. Jest ogólnie bardzo przydatne do mieszkania w czasie podróży, można wstać wcześnie na niewłaściwy poziom i poczuć cichą piękność wsi w Nan.

- Basic amenities were met - The host was very responsive to my message. If you ask him anything through weixing, he will answer in a minute. - he offered to pick me up and helped with my luggage when I first check in and also at check out - It's a little bit on the outer area of the village, so kinda spooky if you walk alone after dark because there's less people around 👻👻👻. Overall my stay went smoothly.
