MainStay Suites Cartersville

"Staff was excellent! Room was great!"

Hampton Inn Emerson LakePoint

"Good location for sports complex. Staff at desk was courteous. There were no extra pillows or blankets available. The phone in the room could only be used by using the speaker option, the hand receiver did not work. The shower head sprayed out of the unit soaking the floor each time and was unable to manipulate. Flushing the toilet made the shower drain gurgle."

Sleep Inn Cartersville

"Property was very welcoming, updated, ultra clean, and staff was awesome. Beds were very comfortable, the hot breakfast was excellent, and the fact that pets were allowed was huge. If we need to stay in that area again this property will be our only choice."

Hampton Inn & Suites Adairsville-Calhoun Area

"The room was dirty, fridge wasn’t cleaned or microwave. Food was still left in the fridge. And the worst part…dead bugs and dead roaches everywhere. We went to 6 different rooms to try to find a room without dead bugs and each room only got worse! I gathered my family and we left asap!"

Barnsley Resort

"My wife and I just returned from a 4-day stay at Barnsley Resort, and we couldn’t have picked a better place for some R&R. This was our first visit, and we stayed in one of the cottages cozy, charming, and well-appointed. From the rocking chairs on the front porch to the plush bed and comfortable living area, it felt like a home away from home. And thankfully, the A/C worked like a champ, crucial when it’s pushing 90+ degrees outside. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful, with something for everyone: horseback riding, fishing, clay shooting, golf, hiking trails, a peaceful meditation garden, and even the ruins of the original plantation home that add a unique historical element. We spent a good amount of time lounging by the pool, which is well-stocked with towels and offers food and drinks from the pool bar. You can also rent a cabana if you want some extra shade and comfort. At night, the resort lights several fire pits where guests gather to wind down, s’mores and good conversation included. The one downside is the dining options. The Woodlands is the only full-service restaurant on-site, and while the food is good, the prices are on the higher side so plan ahead and definitely make reservations. There’s also the Biergarten, a casual outdoor spot, but it was closed during our stay and had a private event the one night it was open. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was a mix of families, couples, and older guests all enjoying the peaceful setting. Just a heads-up: the resort is a bit remote, so next time we’ll be sure to bring a few essentials with us. All in all, Barnsley is a charming, relaxing spot with Southern hospitality and plenty to do—or not do, if that’s your preference."

"Someone stuck their used chewing gum on the wall, and there’s more than one. The bathroom was not clean, and there was no exhaust fan."
