It was our first time at Turi Beach and the overall experience was somewhat different from Telunas. We didn’t have a good encounter in our first room. We felt an eerie presence in the room and asked for a change the next morning. In the new room, we had an issue with the hot water. The water was brown. Fortunately, house-keeping wasted no time to attend to our request. Anyway, it was an OK experience.

view was great, it’s the kind of view that you wish to wake up to every morning. private pool and the place was overall quite clean as well. buffet breakfast has a wide spread of cuisine and food (mostly local food though). the only downside is the location and the security. since the place is very far off from the city, if you were to go back late at night, the road to montigo is super dark, no street lights at all so i would recommend going back early. finding a grab to the city was always relatively hard, took quite some time. the main door of the villa is see through and not really secure so just lock your bedrooms at night :)

Batam View Beach Resort was recently refurbished, so hallways and rooms have an updated look with dark wood hues giving it a bit of modernness. The building has also been given a fresh cost of white paint, giving it a fresh feeling. The gaudy light signboard no longer adorns the main entrance. Despite the updates, the property occasionally exudes tiredness: the signage at the entrance is really dated and when we first saw it, we had some apprehension on how the experience would be (think wildness school camping). But our fears were unfounded as the entered the property: it was clean and modern enough for a comfortable stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink. It was a refreshing welcoming from the warm weather outside. The chairs in the restaurant were tired and the chairs were sunken a little uncomfortable to sit. It would have been if they could be updated for a more comfortable experience. Now on to the food, we had lunch, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Lunch was pretty standard but nothing to shout about. There was rice, soup, noodle and other sides, fruits and desserts that while palatable, again were nothing to rave about. During lunch, the only weird encounter I had was with the chocolate jelly; chocolate does not do well in a jelly. Breakfast was buffet style. The staff at the entrance will ask for your room number before being let in for breakfast. It was a fuss free experience. The buffet breakfast had typical fare such as rice, noodles, porridge, bread, cereal and an egg station with the usual fare you see at breakfast. There’s a kelong within the property which serves up pretty decent seafood if you want something nearby and do not want to travel out. For dinner, as it was a team event, they set the area near the pool to be an open space buffet for dinner with a stage for the activities. While the experience was good and fun (food again was average), I cannot imagine the noise pollution for the other guests staying on the property. The party went on to the night at about 10pm, and I spotted a couple of guests coming out of their rooms to see what was happening. So, if you are staying here for leisure, something to take note of. They have a little pet / animal corner which I wanted to check out but had not time to do so We had a room on the second floor. The hallway was brightly lit and due to the recent refurbishment, it was a pleasant environment. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with a clean room with 2 beds. There was ample of space to hang clothes and a luggage space for 2 medium luggage. The closet was open, basically just a pole above the luggage space with about 6 hangers provided. Housekeeping was good, but not excellent as there a strand of long hair in one of the pillow cases, and there was a little bit of dust on the shelves. Very nice room and value for money for the price. Less than 10 minutes drive to Hang Nadim Airport. Highly recommended for people that are transiting for one night at Batam.

Panbil Residence Apartment is a serviced apartment connected to the main 5 star Western Premier Panbil Hotel. Most main amenities are located at the hotel, which is a more bustling area. The residence was well secured given that the Singapore Consulate General in Batam and Panbil Industries' main office was located in the same building. The residence is superb, quiet and safe. We stayed in a 3 room apartment overlooking the magnificent view of the Nature reserve. Amenities such as crockery and a baby cot can be requested upon booking and were in great condition. There was also netflix in the main bedroom. The residence is located quite a distance away from the main shopping belt, but i do not regret it for the safety and the fridge provided for breast milk storage for baby. What truly impressed us was the service standard and hospitality of the residence staff. They arranged for a driver whenever we needed one - ferry transfer, getting stuck at the deserted Kepri mall after multiple cancellations by Grab drivers, and even to send my husband's misplaced watch from the residence room to the ferry. The intercontinental breakfast every morning was wonderful and truly enjoyable. A great place to relax and unwind for a short holiday. Will stay again when in batam and recommend to anyone who is visiting. Sorry only had videos of the residence.

Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is having a good advantage on location, located in the heart of Batam Center, where luxury and homey abound. It is an old hotel, but it is well maintained and it is connected to a modern life style, near local culinary and having a good entertainment with roof top bar. The staffs are giving a good hospitality and helpful. Sahid Batam Center hotel could fit for business and personal use. Over all, Sahid Batam Center Hotel & Convention is a good hotel to stay. Stayed between 12 - 14 Dec 2022. The hotel is about 5 mins walk away from Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal. There are 2 Circle K across the hotel and the stretch of seaside restaurants (Wey Wey, Alco) is about 2 mins away. Nearest supermarket, Go Go Supermart is located approximately 5 mins walk away from the hotel, located beside Swiss-Bell Hotel and underneath the defunct Harbour Bay Mall. Hotel's Front Desk is friendly and able to communicate in English. I was asked to consider upgrading my room at a special price (~S$9) as the room I booked was small. I agreed since the offer was much larger and came with a balcony. Regrettably, my room was only ready at about 3.30pm, 30mins after the check-in time at 3pm. My Room (207) is in a slightly run down condition with uneven floor tiles, cracks and paint peeling on the walls, water ponding at the toilet drain outlet next to the toilet bowl. The cleanliness is bad too with stains on the covers of the bed, pillows, blanket. The furniture surfaces in the room and balcony were dusty. Water pressure in the shower was adequate but the hot water only lasted for about 5 mins. Bath towels were unavailable during check in and only available at 4pm according to Housekeeping. I left for dinner at around 5pm and the towels weren't delivered yet. Thankfully, they were there when I came back. The view on my balcony was partially obstructed by the hotel's signboard as it is located directly above the hotel's arrival lobby. The corridor was dark most of the time with only lights at both ends. During my stay, I've only encountered the lights for the whole corridor switched around 7pm only on one evening. Breakfast is provided Sweet Corner Restaurant at Level 1 of the hotel between 7am to 11am. The food was simple with options of rice, noodles, porridge, white bread with condiments. Style of the staples and complimenting dishes varies daily. Eggs can be ordered from the staff. Choices available were Sunny Side Up, Soft Boiled, Omelette. The options for beverages were tea, coffee, and orange juice made from highly watered down concentrated syrup. I also have 2 of my lunches there; once while waiting for check-in and once before check-out. Staff were not eager to serve though but still gets your order right. Waiting time for my lunch to be served was about 10 mins. Located at Level 1 is also Alamanda Spa & Massage, which offers various types of massages and spa treatments. They have a beautiful section on the rooftop of the hotel but it could be only used for the higher tiered packages as I was always led to the rooms at Level 1 twice for my Tradition Full Body and Totok Wajah massages. Grab can pick up at the hotel. Please note that Grab are not able to pick up passengers at the Ferry Terminal and some Hotels and Shopping Malls. You might have to walk a distance away from these locations to board. Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall and Batam City Square Mall (BCM) have dedicated Grab Points at the Pintu Timur (East Entrance)

Recommended by a friend, it is my first time staying at Best Western Panbil, Batam and it is exceeded my expectation. The team prepared a birthday surprise in the room with baloon and cake. It was so pretty and memorable. A nice touch! Thank you! We visited ARTrium and Eco Farm which within the premises of the hotel. We tried the Gelato and loved it! There is a supermarket, complete with a wide range of products, very convenient. The room is spacious, minibar included with a good variety from alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages and some snacks. The bed is SUPER comfortable. I personally love the amenities especially the shower gel with Lemongrass Ginger, relaxing and calming. The staffs are very friendly and shout out to Pak Ade for the hospitality. Definitely recommend to my friends and family!

Stayed 2 nights at the one @komplek baloi. Good location, near 2 shopping mall (BCS mall and Grand Batam mall). Outside the hotel there are many eateries, some are outdoor tents and there's also outdoor food court. Massage places are many around this hotel also. Convenience store also available across the street. The hotel is quite new, but the bedsheet a bit yellowish and saw stain at the corner. When i requested to change the bedsheet next day (by putting the card), they didn't do it because saw the same stain at the same spot. Came 2pm for check-in but the room still not ready yet, so waited at the lobby. There were no hand towel provided, called the housekeeping and they only gave face towel. Breakfast spread quite good, but taste average. They allowed for late checkout at 1pm.

Wonderful apartment. Very clean and worth the price. The ambiance of the hotel is simply breathtaking.
