„Highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Naha, great location with modern and clean rooms. If you are renting a car, parking is a bit more of a hassle because the hotel parking is an automated underground parking system. Cars can only be accessed 1 at a time, so there might be a wait time. Besides the parking situation everything else was fine, staff was very friendly and helpful.”

„We had a good stay at Comfort Inn Naha Tomari. The room was very clean, and the location was excellent—just a short walk from the main shopping district. Since we had a rental car, we appreciated the staff’s clear explanation of the parking fees and procedure. The hotel uses a car lift system, which was easy to navigate—just drive in, and the staff will assist with retrieving the car when needed. The room itself wasn’t very big but was sufficient for two people. However, the pillows were quite flat and hard, making them a bit uncomfortable. We requested extra pillows the next day, which helped. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly marred on the last day. Check-out was at 10 AM, and we asked for just a one-hour late check-out. The middle-aged staff member with glasses was rather rude in refusing our request. Out of courtesy, we checked out 15 minutes before 10 AM and let him know we would stay a bit longer to have a coffee (as the hotel provides complimentary drinks). His expression showed clear annoyance, which made us feel unwelcome—though we had our coffee anyway. Despite this, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but the check-out experience could have been handled with more hospitality.”

„The front desk staff were very friendly and they even offered valet parking. In the lobby, there were complimentary amenities and drinks for guests to take freely. The room was quite spacious, and most importantly, it was clean and bright. It's only a 3-5 minute walk from the subway station, and there are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is super convenient.”

„The room was good overall, and everything met my expectations. It operates according to typical Japanese standards. The only significant downside was that the air conditioner was placed directly opposite the bed, so it couldn’t be left on overnight. It would be better if they provided a small guide for foreign guests on how to sort the trash, since there’s only one small bin in the room. There’s no cleaning service. The location is generally good, but check which branch of this hotel chain you’ve booked — they’re located close to each other.”

„Hotel is by the waterfront , but under the highway and away from kokusai Dori. Initial feeling for us was not good as there were some large oil tanks next to the hotel, and the area looked somewhat industrial. There are about 30 parking spaces in the hotel and it costs ¥1500 per night. Stepping into the hotel is a different experience as there are many paintings and artwork on the first floor. The lobby also fantastic view facing the sea and sunset. We stayed on the highest floor (6f ) but I think a lower level could have been better as the highway above seems so close that it appeared in all of the photos taken from the balcony. The room was a bit small, but the interior and furniture were still quite new. You can also go to the rooftop for a beautiful view of Naha at night. The corridor leading to the rooms was probably the least attractive. It is opened air and had water everywhere as it had rained. It was also somewhat dirty and had spider webs in the corridors as well as the balcony of our room. The hotel offers some amenities for pick up in the lobby during check in. Water refills also available in the lobby and rooftop.”

„Our stay at OMO5 Okinawa Naha by Hoshino Resort offered a unique blend of modern design and cultural immersion. However, there are areas that could be enhanced for a better guest experience. The resort would benefit from additional parking spaces and a more varied breakfast menu, which was predominantly bread-focused during our visit. The cultural activities available in the lobby, such as guided tours, provided a deeply engaging and immersive experience, adding significant value to our stay. On the downside, the transitional space for removing shoes was cramped, which made the movement from the entrance to the tatami area somewhat uncomfortable. While the large sofa area is stylishly designed in a modern Japanese aesthetic, the absence of a coffee table was noticeable and impacted the functionality of the space. Room for luggage was also limited, reminiscent of compact Tokyo business hotels. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience was positive, highlighted by the cultural engagement opportunities the resort offers.”

Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel. 🛏️ Stylish & Photogenic Rooms The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results! 🍳 Breakfast That Delights Every Palate The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them! 📍 Prime Location Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central! 🍽️ Vibrant Evenings As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience. 💭 Still Dreaming About It Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!”
