„Our check-in date happened to coincide with a typhoon in Okinawa. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful; despite the strong winds and heavy rain at the front entrance, they still managed to unload our luggage from the car and arranged for us to check in early. We were initially worried about parking safety at the pier, but the parking area inside the pier was actually very safe. Although it cost 2000 yen, which was a bit pricey, there was a semi-open walkway connecting to the hotel, so you wouldn't get wet in the rain unless it was a typhoon. The newly opened hotel was even more beautiful in person than in the renderings. While the weather wasn't as expected, we still enjoyed soaking in the clean and modern public bath, grabbing snacks at the Lawson shopping mall downstairs, taking a nap, and enjoying a delicious cocktail and a high-quality dinner at the hotel restaurant. We booked a bayside twin room with a fantastic view and extremely comfortable bedding. The spacious bedroom had a large sofa and a huge TV, but the bathroom and washbasin were a bit cramped. However, since we had access to the large public bath, it was all quite comfortable.
The hotel's location is convenient for those driving, with a fish market and supermarket nearby. The pier for outlying islands is right downstairs; many popular island snorkeling and diving destinations depart from this pier. The hotel also offers several summer water sports packages. For those driving or without a car, you can consider taking a boat from another pier to the north to avoid traffic jams.
In terms of location, it's convenient for those driving or travelers wanting to visit outlying islands. It's close to the city center but has a resort-like feel. It's over 15 minutes' walk to Kokusai Street, and the monorail isn't close either. If you want to shop on Kokusai Street, book a hotel on Kokusai Street. However, there seems to be a bus to the airport at the front entrance.
Overall, the accommodation was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and if the price is reasonable, I would definitely consider staying a few nights next time to plan a trip to the outlying islands.”
