"We stayed Albergo Cappello after our Dolomites hike, and it was obvious a popular choice for other hikers in the region. They accepted our luggage transfer from other hotel and stored our luggage for us until we arrived. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was quite nice."

"The facilities are decent, with disposable slippers and paper cups, a small refrigerator, and a kettle. Cleanliness: Clean; the toilet has a disinfectant sticker. Environment: The room is square, but the bathroom light is connected to the exhaust fan, which is on when showering, making it a bit cold. The hairdryer is the white plastic kind, and it's noisy. It gets hot after prolonged use. Service: Good. The hotel reception area also has a small lounge where you can wait or rest. They also have information on local tourist attractions and offer free postcards!"

"The beds are ok an the breakfast is nice. The location is good for both Venice and the Dolomites. Host does not speak any English, very unpractical. Kitchen gear not sufficient to cook a proper meal. Doorposts of bedrooms to low for people with a hight above 1.75. No safe place for the kids to play outside. Unstable WiFi connection. We can only recommend it for a few days without young kids."

"Our group stayed at Albergo Cappello on the eight and ninth (final) night of our trek on the AV1 in the Dolomites. (The remainder of our baggage had been routed here, so it was a nice bonus to wear something new after 8 days on the trail.) The LOCATION was by far the best feature - In the center of old town, between the cathedral and the main square, and with scores of restaurants & shops a short walking distance away. It was also a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations, both of which we used. (A bus from the last trailhead; a train to Venice the last morning). As it turns out, there wasn't much choice, since there weren't many hotels in this area. As for the rooms, mine was small and dark, despite being on the top floor. The hotel was obviously older, with several generations of updates and renovations under the surface. But...It still felt luxurious to have a private room, private shower, and air conditioning after so many days of sharing bathrooms and bunks. The staff was friendly; the front desk guy seemed to be managing almost everything. He was very patient when I called to say the AC unit in my room wasn't working - It turned out there were two controllers, and the one on the wall wasn't functional (A sign would have been nice) Breakfast was very OK. Not quite as good as some of the spreads we had in the mountains, but good enough to keep us going for a few hours. Overall we had a decent stay here. Despite my momentary perception of relative luxury, I must put my "realism glasses" back on to rate the place - it felt about average for an Italian hotel."

"Very disappointing and misleading “pet-friendly” experience. We arrived expecting a pet-friendly stay, only to be told on the spot that there is only one designated room for guests with pets — and it was already occupied. This was never communicated in advance. On top of that, we were informed about an extra charge of €20 per night per dog. Despite this additional fee, the rules were extremely unreasonable: dogs were not allowed to eat or drink inside the apartment and had to do so outside the premises, and were expected to sleep in the bathtub. The host was also rude and unhelpful when we tried to clarify these points. Given these conditions, we decided not to stay and left immediately. This place should not be advertised as pet-friendly. I would strongly advise pet owners to avoid it."

"The ad is misleading: We were to have a very white room and on arrival the walls were yellowish, full of trails of crushed animals everywhere. The curtains, the mattress covers, the chair covers were stained. It was indeed the same room but probably years ago! Very very rustic too! In addition, the cleaning was not done. The reception was quite cold. The door was opened for us and that was it. On the other hand, it's a real shame because the area would be magnificent! Breakfasts under the terrace are magical!"
