"A very nice hotel. We had the 2 queen + sofa bed reserved for 2 people. It was very roomy and pretty sound-proof. It had two TVs and a full-equipped kitchenette with a fantastic microwave. "We spent 5 nights in around Christmas time when we were visiting a family member studying at UC Berkeley. It was conveniently located to visit the university. Since it was holiday season, we can't tell if it's always quiet, but we didn't hear any noise at night. The room was nice enough. Clean, well proportioned. We could cast Netflix from our phone. We didn't eat any meals there (the breakfast cafe was closed and the bar/restaurant was mostly closed). But one evening, we had two glasses of wine from the bar. It was served in the bar room, but they only had a wagon with open bottles of wine and plastic cups. It was shockingly expensive - we could easily buy a good bottle for the price of these two plastic cups (not even particularly generous). One other thing that bothered us was that they had a glass door to the bathroom. It was opaque enough so that we didn't see through it, but every time one of us used it at night, it brightened the whole bedroom. Also, whatever anyone did in the bathroom was very clearly audible from the bedroom. So, the best points for this hotel were location and reasonable price (for the room). Not for those who want luxury and comfort."

"The location is a bit hard to find, but the staff were very friendly. The guests were also very welcoming. Located in downtown Berkeley, it's conveniently located with easy access to parking and banks. There's also a free gym nearby, a fully equipped shared kitchen, and very clean shared bathrooms. For expensive San Francisco, this price is definitely worth it."
