"Great location centre of Bethune. Characterful building. Parking nearby. Friendly, efficient staff. Lovely, spacious suite with homely decor and comfortable beds for one adult and two children. Room was on top floor so it did get very hot - we stayed in July - but not much the hotel can do about that. Breakfast was superb."

"A beautiful hotel let down by some avoidable defects. One that isn’t rectifiable is the absence of a lift. This is inevitable in a classified building but wasn’t obvious at booking. Fortunately the helpful manager rescued the situation by carrying some of our luggage. The room: great, spacious, good bed but no minibar and no bottled water and no fruit. The drainer in the sink was broken and for some reason the taps go backwards. The real issue was the restaurant. Having ordered all three parts (starter/main course/dessert) at the start, things fell slowly apart. The starters appeared immediately but the main courses were slow. And then..nothing. After about 15/20 minutes we were asked if we had ordered desserts, so we confirmed that we had. And they finally arrived another 15/20 minutes later, so maybe 30/40 minutes after the main courses. By this time, after a 6 hour journey, we were tired and pretty annoyed. We ate our desserts without enthusiasm. No apologies, no compensation. Hardly a big deal but how difficult is it to get the basics right? A shame as we lack somewhere nice to stay an hour from Coquelles and are still looking."

"Naprawdę nie jestem pewien, jak przeglądać ten jeden nocleg. Sam pokój po w końcu wszedł, był przyzwoity. Dobry prysznic, bardzo wygodne łóżko, dobra lokalizacja, dobry parking. Jednak pojawiliśmy się tuż przed 6pm i weszliśmy do naszego pokoju wokół 8.15pm. W środku tego, dostaliśmy bardzo mokry próbę uzyskania odpowiedzi od buzzera „hotel”, wydaliśmy dużo pieniędzy na telefony do „właściciela/zarządcy” i dużo myśleliśmy o tym, gdzie indziej moglibyśmy zostać przez noc, ponieważ nie mieliśmy jasno zamiaru Do hotelu zarezerwowaliśmy. To był kompletny bałagan. Brak odpowiedzi od buzzera i brak odpowiedzi z 2 numerów telefonów, które nam zostały podane. Po wykonaniu 20+ połączeń, ostatecznie otrzymaliśmy połączenie z wieloma (dość złożonymi) instrukcjami, jak zdobyć nasz klucz, gdzie pokój był położony (różna lokalizacja) i - szczególnie dlatego, że zapytałem jak przejść przez bramę nowej lokalizacji - wyjaśnienie, jak wejść do parkingu w naszym pokoju. To naprawdę nie jest to, czego chcesz na noc pobytu, kiedy prowadziłeś 300 mil tego dnia. Śniadanie nie jest bufetem - jak reklama, kiedy rezerwowaliśmy - ale kilka losowych bitów w Twoim pokoju. Nie mam pojęcia, czy zostaną one zmienione dla następnego gościa. Trip.com nie mógł lub nie mógł - naprawdę nie jestem pewien - i właściciel nie był kontaktowy. Nie miałem od tego przeprosin. Wyjaśnienie, które nam dano, gdy stoimy na zewnątrz w deszczu, było to, że osoba „była na spotkaniu”. Może potrzebują przeglądu procesów recepcji. Powód, że nie daję tego jednogwiazdkowego przeglądu jest to, że osoba, która w końcu zadzwoniła do nas, aby powiedzieć nam co robić, była urocza i pokój był dość dobry (powietrze koni, ale w przeciwnym razie dobry pokój)."

Because the surrounding hotels are fully booked, I really appreciate that the landlord Emilia is willing to provide me with the studio that was originally reserved for old customers, and the price is very favorable. The breakfast was delicious, the surrounding environment was very safe, the room facilities were very complete and comfortable, and the stay was particularly safe. I arrived at 23 o'clock in the evening, and Emilia also came to receive me. I was really caring and thanked her for her patience and care. Thank you very much for this warm stay experience, and I have left a good impression on Béthune 😊"

"Second time staying at the Eden. The location can't be faulted in Bethune, right in the city centre, 50 metres away for all the bars and restaurants, the rooms (55EUR) are excellent and great vale, the breakfast offers a great choice for 10EUR The hotel comes into its own if you are on bikes, the owners let you park you bikes for free in their courtyard. However on this visit, my bike was in need of attention having been through 6 days of hard riding in the Alps. From our previous visit I was aware that the owner was a motorcycle dealer in a past life and was hoping he would be able to point my in the right direction to get my bike fixed, to my delight he just stated working on the bike! Fixed with no charge - absolutely exceptional service. Can't recommend the Eden highly enough."
