"This hotel is false advertising in terms of its condition. The website pictures make it look beautiful but there is rust, chipped paint, rotted wood, and decrepit furniture throughout the property. One of our pitted, stained bedside lamps didn’t even work. Our room has different and much older lamps, accessories and floor coverings than the website photos show for that exact room. I’ve owned a Victorian home circa 1880 so I know that they require a tremendous amount of upkeep, but they shouldn’t use those beautiful pictures to advertise. It’s just not right. The “ferry room” on the second floor to leave your belongings in if you arrive before 4pm is completely unsecured, and the door to the inn is wide open with no front desk. It was only $300 a night compared to double that at most places, but seriously, they are definitely misleading potential customers. They are still collecting $300 a night for a place that is being neglected. More information.. Pros -It’s a very, very convenient location - right near stores and restaurants, and the ferry. - Nice view of the water where the ferries come in. - There is a fence to lock bikes against. - Our room had AC (most of the rooms don’t). - Strong water pressure. - Friendly staff in the retail store where you pick up and drop off your key. Other Issues - There is a dirty, stained oversized floor mat covering the wall to wall carpeting in our room. It was not there in the online photos of our room. The mat is also very uncomfortable to walk barefoot on. - The tub is stained dark on the bottom and the grout is all cracked. - There is no housekeeping until checkout and they don’t give you more than one bath towel per person. Not even one extra. - The pillows are so flattened and completely covered in yellow stains. My neck and shoulders hurt by the morning. - The bed is very, very flattened down and hard, and it squeaks any time you make even the slightest movement. - The door chain in our room was broken. - Hair from someone else was on the bathroom floor. - The bathroom sink is child-height and has the same shell shape as the one that my parents bought in the 1970 or 80s. - The “period piece” in our room is a chipped and stained chair whose lining is hanging down from the bottom."

"Best weekend away in a long time - booking was easy, checking-in was easy, communication with Maegan was easy, beds were actually really comfortable, lovely decor and many thoughtful touches to the rooms - mag safe chargers, alarm clock with plenty of usb ports (both a and c!), fluffy towels, high quality linens, clean bathroom, coffee station with microwave and mini fridge, gorgeous porch with lots of seating. Sound like a dream getaway? It was! Oh, and Block Island is pretty amazing, too."

A place where the parents can enjoy an adult beverage on the beach while watching the kids play in the water. This place is one of a kind and something I've never found anywhere else.
