"Wir wollten uns ein schönes Abendessen leisten und wurden an der Außenbar des Hotels auf ein "All you can eat"-Buffet für 30 € pro Person aufmerksam gemacht. Bei diesem Preisniveau in Bovec geht man als Gast berechtigterweise von einer sehr guten Qualität aus. ​Leider entsprach die Realität in keiner Weise dem Preis oder der Ankündigung. Was uns als tolles Buffet verkauft wurde, entpuppte sich schlichtweg als die Überbleibsel des regulären Abendessens für die Hausgäste. Anstatt frischer Speisen fanden wir die abgeweideten Reste vor, die eigentlich schon abgeräumt gehörten. ​Wer 30 € pro Person verlangt, muss auch entsprechend abliefern. Diesen Umgang mit externen Gästen empfinde ich als stark irreführend und es grenzt an Touristenabzocke. Ich kann andere Urlauber nur dringend davor warnen, dieses "Angebot" anzunehmen. Geht für das Geld lieber in eine der vielen guten lokalen Gostilnas im Ort. ​We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and were drawn to an "all you can eat" buffet for €30 per person at the hotel's outdoor bar. At this price point in Bovec, a guest justifiably expects very good quality. ​Unfortunately, reality did not match the price or the pitch in any way. What was sold to us as a great buffet turned out to be nothing more than the leftovers of the regular dinner for the hotel guests. Instead of fresh food, we found picked-over remains that really should have been cleared away. ​Anyone charging €30 per person needs to deliver accordingly. I find this treatment of outside guests highly misleading, and it borders on a tourist rip-off. I strongly warn other vacationers against taking them up on this "offer". For that money, you are much better off going to one of the many good local gostilnas in town. Želeli smo si privoščiti lepo večerjo in na zunanjem baru hotela so nas opozorili na samopostrežni bife "all you can eat" za 30 € na osebo. Pri takšni ceni v Bovcu gost upravičeno pričakuje zelo visoko kakovost. ​Žal pa realnost nikakor ni ustrezala ne ceni ne obljubam. Kar so nam prodali kot odličen bife, se je izkazalo zgolj za ostanke redne večerje za hotelske goste. Namesto svežih jedi smo naleteli na prebrane ostanke, ki bi jih pravzaprav morali že pospraviti. ​Kdor zaračuna 30 € na osebo, mora ponuditi temu primerno raven. Takšen odnos do zunanjih gostov se mi zdi močno zavajajoč in meji na odiranje turistov. Druge dopustnike lahko le resno opozorim, naj ne sprejmejo te "ponudbe". Za ta denar raje pojdite v katero izmed številnih dobrih lokalnih gostiln v kraju."

"I second all of the positive reviews here. Sadly my partner and I were only here for one night. But it’s the sort of hotel you don’t want to review but rather keep to yourself. A truly special place where attention is paid to every detail. We did not catch the name of the manager who was working alone the day we stayed, having given a colleague a day off. He was just extraordinary; manning reception, getting drinks and serving breakfast the next day - all with such grace and hospitality. We intend to go back and spend more time here. An absolute gem."

"Excellent location in the lovely town of Bovec, Slovenia near the Soca Valley. Friendly and approachable staff who engage with the guests. A very short drive to see some of the beautiful waterfalls nearby, plenty of water activities and hiking. We dined at the hotel and the food was great. Two course with wine for two people was approximately 50 EU, which is good value. The view of the mountains from our balcony was a bonus. The only constructive feedback I would give is that they needed two waiters for the dinner. The waiter we had on each night tried very hard to cater for all the guests, but it was evidently too much for one person."

"This is a nice place but not a great one. The rooms are a bit Spartan, and the price is a little high for what you get. We had a fine time during our two nights, but we would try elsewhere on a return trip. Breakfast was extra, which is unusual in European hotels. In September of 2023, it cost 16 euros, but was excellent, we will admit. Rather poor Wi-Fi, we found. We got far better service at the Felix Bovec burger joint in the town center (which we recommend). We got an apartment in the back, which was not great. Some of the other spaces are undoubtedly better."

"The hotel is cleverly photographed. The disappointing reality is a rather sterile blot on the beautiful landscape and safe to say the view from the window is the best thing about it. It’s annoying when you go on holiday to pay relative top dollar for a place that doesn’t meet expectations. The pokey rooms had a musty/ smoky odour; loos didn’t flush properly; one thin pillow each. Again misleading photography makes the pool look big - it’s actually a tiny plunge pool. The receptionist was frosty and indifferent when we arrived. We couldn’t get snacks or drinks outside of mealtimes. On the plus side the breakfast was generous and the hotel is handy for the town. Overall though visitors to Bovec can do a whole lot better. It says four stars, I’m only experiencing 3…..or even 2. The Hotel Mangart welcomes your money but sadly not you!"

"We booked a 2 x 2 apartment as we were a family of 4. Apartment was spotless with comfortable beds and lovely view of the mountains from our balcony. We received a fabulous welcome and Reception were always on hand if we had any questions. Expensive for what it is (but it is lovely!) and we wouldn't do breakfast if we went again. 18 Euros per adult and half price for children and it wasn't worth it for what we received. But overall, a lovely stay. Thank you."
