Nanping – hotele ze śniadaniem

We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

As a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast. We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings. Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient! If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. Miałem wspaniały pobyt w tym obiekcie. Personel pomógł mi zarezerwować bilety na malowniczą okolicę i na przedstawienie w Dahongpao. Pomimo bariery językowej, zrobili wszystko, co w ich mocy, aby mi pomóc, a komunikacja przez WeChat przebiegała bardzo sprawnie. Mają również własną plantację herbaty, więc spróbowałem kilku herbat, a nawet kupiłem kilka. Herbaty są pakowane w małe torebki, co jest bardzo praktyczne. Dostałem również kilka różnych herbat do spróbowania. Restauracja również była doskonała. Skorzystałem ze śniadania w formie bufetu i dania z grzybów wieprzowych. Polecono mi również lokalną czerwoną rybę, która była bardzo smaczna i świeża. Pokój hotelowy był bardzo duży i czysty, z pięknym widokiem, wygodnym łóżkiem, mnóstwem bezpłatnych przekąsek i butelek wody.

We booked the two-storey villa and truly enjoyed the beautiful scenery within the hotel grounds, as well as the excellent service. From the doorman, restaurant staff, electrician, to the drivers — everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thanks to our Butler, Xiao Fang. She is such a lovely and caring lady — incredibly helpful, patient, and attentive. No matter what we requested, she always did her best to assist. I changed my boat-ride schedule multiple times, and she handled everything with so much patience and professionalism. Xiao Fang truly made our holiday more enjoyable and completely hassle-free. We would love to come back to this hotel again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in Wuyi, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel’s charming atmosphere. The modern architecture combined with the serene tea rooms created a peaceful and immersive experience that felt both luxurious and authentic. Spending quiet moments in the tea lounges, sipping local brews while enjoying the calming decor, was a true highlight of my stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is the breakfast. Every morning, I was greeted with an impressive variety of dishes — both local specialties and more familiar options — all fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re a fan of savory or sweet, there’s something for everyone, and the attention to quality was evident in every bite. But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the support the hotel provided in helping me explore the area. They introduced me to a local guide named Spring, and I am so grateful they did. Spring was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about Wuyi. Thanks to her, I was able to discover hidden gems, learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region, and gain insights I never would have found on my own. Her guidance added so much depth and meaning to my visit. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special. I will absolutely return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a genuine and enriching experience in Wuyi.

This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

Excellent hotel and staff. Room was spotless clean, quiet and a good size. The hotel location is close to the bus stop that connects to the Wuyishan park and also the Nanping railway station.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

Based on my recent two-night stay, the Metropolo Hotel Wuyishan Sangu Holiday Resort is an excellent choice for exploring the area. The location is truly great, with easy access via the public bus right outside. Our room was impressively spacious and very clean. A special mention must go to their staffs, who were super nice and incredibly attentive to all my requests. The breakfast offered a great variety and quality to start each day. I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Wuyishan.
