Ko Samet – hotele ze śniadaniem

The Samed Resorts group offers the guests a free boat shuttle service to Samed Island (even free car parking), which I find very convenient. The staff helped us loading the baggage to the boat and from the boat to the hotel. Ban Ploy sea is located right next to the pier with a few minutes walk. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was so helpful and friendly. He even offered me an upgrade room with the sea front view for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfy. At the back of the resort is a log house cafe, offering tasty cakes and fancy drinks. I feel really relaxed lying on a private beach. In the evening we were so lazy to go out, just had dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant every night. It was not cheap but everything was delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied. Highly recommended!

Жили 3 ночи, домик на 3 линии, близко к морю, красивая территория. Свой пляж в бухте, лежаки бесплатно. Хорошие завтраки. На этом плюсы закончились. Домик сделан из досок, шумоизоляции почти нет, огромные щели в окнах, дверях -комары пролетают как к себе домой. На окнах сетки от комаров, но на них толстый слой пыли - аллергики будут в шоке. Пыль и грязь в домике везде - на вешалках, на перилах, на полу, под кроватью, на телевизоре, на стенах из вагонки …. везде. Сейфа нет. Отель в целом не плохой, но не стоит тех денег которые мы заплатили за проживание.

Second time here and still enjoying. Just one night there and can totally relax and turn off from worries. Staff is so nice and view from every point is incredible. Beach is clean and villas are so adorable.

One of the nicest resorts on the island with the nicest staff attending to us. The rooms are more than adequate for our needs and the food in the restaurant delicious! The beach is quiet and not as busy as other places on the island hence the reason why I will be going back there!

Newly renovated rooms; comfortable & cleaned. Beautiful private peaceful beach. All the hotel staff that we had contacted did excellent jobs. Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening. We gave 200 THB to the fire show men. Frankly speaking, their fire show skills are much better than Hawaii. (Except, no hip dance) It would be nice if the other hotel guests would have given them some tips, too. Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time.

Amazing hotel! The room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Had a nice balcony. The restaurant’s food is really delicious. The location was great with a private beach. You can rent a scooter and go around the island. I will stay here again definitely. It has a nice nightlife atmosphere, they have a dj on with good music although it can get really loud so I recommend that if this is an issue to ask for a room farther away from the beach.

the sky seaside deluxe is spacious, clean and tidy, and it is located very close to the beach. sawasdee coco is located at one end of sai kaew beach, while it is still near other major beach restaurants, with fire shows, e.g. winkks, grand view and tonsak. it is worth mentioning that the staff are attentive. when i get to the sky seaside deluxe, i need to pass a short passageway via the beach and go up to the second floor. when i check out, the housekeeping staff members were just passed by and they proactively came to us and help us brought our luggages, not just to the front desk, but to the songthaew station. much appreciate that.

Accommodation & Ambience While the resort building itself shows its age, the refurbished rooms create a lovely ambience with beautiful lighting that transforms the older structure into something quite charming. We stayed on the third floor, which offered peaceful mountain views overlooking the national park forest rather than beach views. The setting is genuinely calm and quiet – exactly what we wanted for a family retreat. Important consideration: There's no elevator, so reaching upper floors requires quite a climb. As we joked, shuttling between the room and outside areas four times daily provides a workout in itself! This makes the resort unsuitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. Dining Experience The breakfast experience is delightful, served in a beachside restaurant where you can enjoy your meal with sand between your toes. The selection impresses with a good range of both Western and Thai options, including fresh fruits. The resort's beach restaurant serves quality food with excellent value for money – we tried multiple dishes and enjoyed them all. However, there's no room service, and the restaurant closes early (around 9:30-10 PM). When late-night cravings struck, we found the nearby 7-Eleven (just 5-6 minutes' walk) convenient for snacks. Room Amenities & Issues Room amenities are adequate though not luxurious. The shower area is well-designed with a spacious dressing area. However, we encountered an unpleasant odor from the bathroom drainage system that required some management during our stay. Activities & Surroundings For water activities like parasailing, snorkeling, and jet skiing, you'll need to walk to Sai Kaew Beach to find service providers – fortunately, we found excellent options there. Final Verdict Avatara Resort succeeds as a family-friendly destination that balances beachfront access, peaceful ambience, and reasonable pricing. While it has some limitations (no elevator, early restaurant closure, minor maintenance issues), the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. Recommended for: Families seeking a calm beach getaway who don't mind some stairs and prefer a quieter resort atmosphere. Consider alternatives if: You need elevator access, late-night dining options, or luxury amenities.

The location is really far off. In the last corner of the island. If you don’t have a motorcycle you don’t get around well. There is a shuttle bus which costs around 120 to get to the main area one way for two, but it isn’t that reliable. It is supposed to leave once per hour at 30min after the full hour but sometimes it leaves 5min early and you are stranded for the hour, sometimes you wait until 45min after the hour. The friendlieness of the staff was from super genuinely friendly and helpful to „ I don’t give the slightest **** for you“ really depends on the person. Breakfast was good, especially the thai soups. Eating dinner there is very expensive and not that good. The restaurant location outside is spectacular. With view over the sea in many directions. The huts where you stay are simply too small. I. Essence only a bed that you can walk around. No desk or something. No shelves or something where you could store or hang clothes. You have to live out of the luggage your suitcase. The issue is : there is only space to have one opened at the time, no space for two. That makes it rather inconvenient. The water in the romm is in glass bottles , but it is actually tab water smells like chlorine. I gor stomach pain drinking only one. We were told if we need drinking water , we must use the overpriced water from the minibar. The beach wasn’t that great. You don’t walk on sand and there was lots of rubble in the water, not pleasant to swim. I would not go there again

The most important thing about this place is its owner. Alex is a wonderful and friendly local islander. He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? Ask Alex! I think the main idea is clear As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂 The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick. If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
