"I saw on Facebook that this hotel had new owners and was keen to try. In all the years we've visited Brixham it looked awful so it's great to see it's been brought and by lovely proprietors who really care. We thought we would try somewhere new for Sunday lunch and so glad we did. We booked online a while ago and added a request for our little girl who has learning difficulties. Emily phoned to confirm they were happy to accommodate. I had to phone with a couple amendments and again neither was an issue. Emily greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. All the staff we met were very professional with great customer service skills. There is Sunday lunch and there's Sunday lunch...this was exceptional. The food was organic and the flavours were amazing. We chose the sirloin beef sharing platter and my daughter had chicken. The trimmings consisted of red cabbage, carrots, broccoli stems, cauliflower cheese, roasts and Yorkshires. The food was that good despite being full we had to have a desert to see how they compared and we wasn't disappointed. This is a new business venture ran my a lovely couple, I'd honestly recommend you give this a try."

"A must stay for couples! The view was incredible (you can see in the photos below)! We also had a fantastic meal at The Rockfish restaurant, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient for all the shops/bars/restaurants in the harbour. The parking provided by the hotel was at the harbour itself, and was very convenient. We used self check-in, it was so quick and easy we could just get on with our short trip and waste no time! At breakfast we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, aside from the delicious (made to order) breakfast, the service was incredible. Highly recommend!"

"Such a good choice of place to stay: recommended by Headwater, as we were doing one of their walking holidays. We could not have found better! Our stay began with a welcome chat, lots of information, and glass of cider or Nathalie's elderflower fizz; this set the scene for two comfortable nights. Superb harbour view, nicely furnished rooms and lots of Breton and sea-faring touches everywhere. If you had mobility problems, the stairs are a bit steep and narrow, and of course lots of steps up from the town. Difficult to add more words to the other reviews about the breakfasts. Herve and Nathalie just excel! And their restaurant recommendations were also spot on. We would certainly consider another visit...and NB that Herve and Nathalie also have a two-bedroom self-catering cottage available nearby. Merci infiniment Nathalie et Herve!"
