This is a privately owned two bedroom chalet in the grounds of Penstowe Park Kilkhampton. It is very near the Beaches of Sandymouth, Bude and Crackington Haven. There is a pub in the village of Kilkhampton along with a Co-op and local stores. We are near the Tamar Lakes which is good for fishing and sailing. Bude is only 7 miles away which has several beaches and amenities. We are in Cornwall but close to Devon for those who wish to explore. The chalet is suitable for a family of four, it has a double bed and bunk beds with ample storages for clothes. It has a well equipped kitchen with everything you need including a cooker and microwave and fridge but there is no freezer. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Bedroom linen and kitchen tea towels etc are provided but you need to bring your own towels. The chalet is cleaned after you leave. There is a patio outside and chair and equipment in a locker for your use. The chalet has two colour TV's and small heaters including a Dyson Fan (Hot & Cold). No stag parties or large groups of teenagers, and all damages must be paid for. The electric meter is in the boiler cupboard and electric cards are purchased for your use from 'The Shack' on the T.Junction by the Manor House. The living room has a power recliner leather suite, DVD, video player, and Smart TV meaning you can watch Netflix, Prime, etc. if you have a membership and can hotspot. We stopped offering free wifi as the 4G in the area can be unstable which caused complaints. Feedback has been families actually find it better and stay off the internet and on the beach. There are 2 double bedrooms: One on-suite with a king-size bed and memory foam mattress, and one with a double divan bed. The 3rd bedroom has two single beds. The family bathroom has a bath and a power shower. The large kitchen-diner has a freestanding electric cooker with ceramic hob, washer-dryer, dishwasher, and tall double-door fridge-freezer. The private rear patio benefits from an Italian masonry barbecue and seating to relax in the evening with your glass of wine. Barbecue coals are in the cabinet on the patio. If you use them, please replace them ready for the next guest. Parking next to the bungalow, adjacent to the rear patio. Site facilities - There is an onsite pub/restaurant. There are numerous beaches nearby (Sandymouth and Duckpool), plus Bude is approximately a 15-minute drive. Plus, the Bude sea pool. The village of Kilkhampton is within walking distance or a short drive, and there are a couple of pubs, local shops including a co-op, and an excellent fish and chip shop, as well as a pizza takeaway, and a Chinese takeaway. Unlike many properties on the site, there is no additional charge for gas central heating, or electricity. Dogs are welcome (2 max.) as we trust owners to be responsible and not allow them on the furniture or beds. Please note any damage will be charged. Bed linen is provided but not towels.
