"We just love this place. Staff smiling, friendly and helpful. Everything clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, various bread and we could choose between several kinds of eggs The coffee was strong and black, just the way we like it. Prices most affordable. We can strongly recommend this lovely hotel We will definitely come back!"

"It was a great stay! The family who runs that hotel is incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was nice and spacious with a good bathroom. I really liked the rooftop-terrace and the room for coffee/breakfast in the upper floor."

"The Hotel Rural Real de Poqueira is a charming hotel on a picture-perfect quiet square close to the church in the pretty village of Capileira. Our room, with a Juliet balcony, looked out onto the square. It was a beautifully restful room with a sparklingly clean bathroom. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The buffet breakfast is served close to the reception area and was plentiful - with the option to have cooked items. We stayed for three nights and did some wonderful walks around the village as well as an all-day hike that traversed the steep slopes of the Poqueira gorge. On the day we were leaving, our bus was due to depart before breakfast but the hotel very kindly organised a takeaway breakfast for us. The hotel has a lovely garden and outdoor pool - as we visited in May the pool was not available but it looked very inviting and would be a real bonus in the heat of high summer!"

"The rooms were enough and pleasant. The same service. The excellent location for anyone who wants to explore the area of Nevada (without the skiing station). I'm sorry I didn't enjoy the pool but I had already passed the high season and I wasn't clean (naturally)"

"The hotel is rustic but charming. A very friendly place, all staff helpful and English spoken. The bedrooms are simple but immaculately clean, and the bathroom modern. Indeed the whole hotel is spotless. Great views from our window over the mountains. The restaurant food was superb. The cheesecake probably rates as the best I’ve had. The rate we had was half board, but if you do eat in the restaurant the 3 course 26 euro menu is outstanding. Good selection of wines too. It is on a steep site and there are only 5 or 6 car spaces. Plenty of free parking over the road very close by."

"We spent four nights at the Hotel Rural. Alberto was an excellent host and gave us some great tips for places to visit, eat and shop. The Hotel has a wonderful roof terrace with views of the mountains to the north and the valley, southwards. It is a lovely spot to take a book and relax. Our room was large, quiet and very comfortable. Capileira is an excellent location from which to explore the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada."
