"The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from Cardiff Central Station. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. The room is spacious but simple. The decor is a bit dated too. You would expect it’s like a Premier Inn. All in all, it justified its price and the location is convenient."

"A poor example of a well placed Holiday Inn. The room was unfortunately very poorly cleaned . There were stains on the bedside tables from mugs and glasses . Something had also been spilled on one . The same for the furniture unit . The chair was badly stained . Even though it calls itself a ultra cleaned , covid safe hotel. Around the inside window frame there was a considerable amount of black mould , particularly in the corners . Finally , the was no anti slip mat for the shower. When I reported it. There was no offer to get me one . I requested an additional towel and was given 6 , ‘just in case you don’t see us again’ was what the housekeeper said . The restaurant was fair if late at night with no other option . I chose not to have breakfast the 2nd day. I would not recommend this motel to anyone despite the proximity to the M4 . Anyone’s money can do far better elsewhere and I would suggest they do that. I have emailed the manager directly and I have emailed the front desk for the attention of the general manager and in 6 weeks have not received an acknowledgement. I will not stay in a Holiday Inn property anywhere in the world in future because of this experience and lack of concern by the general management."

"The only reasons I gave 4/5 stars for service was the self service hot beverage station and making your own toast. Order their specials better, however, this time my poached eggs were not soft. Excellent wine and excellent bar lunch which they allowed us to eat in the restaurant which was a bonus. I love this location. Walks through the wetlands and to Penarth and easy links to Barry Island. Spa brilliant and the quiet area next to the gym brilliant for reading"

"We stayed for two nights as our bathroom is being replaced at home. This is a former Premier Inn which retains the 'footprint' and build/comfort standard of a PI. The rooms have showers instead of baths which is perfect for me. I rang ahead and requested a ground floor room which was honoured- we were given room 2 which met our needs and requirements. Bed was really comfortable, tv had limited channels but I was able to log into my Netflix. There is hanging space for your clothes, a hair dryer and plenty of sockets, none by the bed though. The WiFi was adequate for our needs. There is free, secure parking provided at the rear of the hotel - you need a code to exit so as safe as can be. No noise considering the M4 motorway and main A48 sandwich the hotel. There is a restaurant for food but we didn't use it. Menu was a bit pricey but has good reviews. All the staff that we met were friendly. The Receptionists were lovely and a big shout out to Alice who sorted our return visit next week when we get back from holiday. For the money it's excellent value for a clean, friendly place to stay."

"Receptionist Anshika helpful and apologetic Breakfast boring 😴 When I asked for vegetarian/vegan I was directed to PORK sausages, very off handedly, by Lisa. Which was totally disrespectful,rude and upsetting 😡 The croissants were totally inedible when I went on Sunday morning around 8am There were 3 "broken" croissants left, which nobody touched Until I asked if they were going to top it up! The hash brown were dry and inedible"

"I like to book Holiday Inn when I travel because it's usually reliable, although some branches can be a older/more worn out than others, but I expect would be up to standards. Room was comfortable and very spacious. Had a Big screen tv ehich was great to watch the match.The night team went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay and responded to my request."

"Wspaniała lokalizacja dla nas, tylko krótki taksówka do miasta, gdzie oglądaliśmy gig w Utilita. Śniadanie było naprawdę dobre z wielkim wyborem gotowanych, pasty i owoców do wyboru. Jedyne ujemne - byliśmy w trakcie fali ciepła i nie ma klimatyzacji w pokojach. Został wyposażony wentylator, ale niewiele pomogło zmniejszyć pokój. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, wszędzie było czyste i czyste, a personel przy biurku był przyjazny i pomocny."

"Great hotel not far from the red dragon centre. About a 8 min walk to the Millenium Centre. Rooms were clean and there is a bar and resturant. Rooms were tidy and clean with a decent amount of space."
