"We took advantage of off-peak travel to visit Changzhou for a two-day, one-night trip with our child. The Wenpu Hotel has an amazing location – it's the first time I've ever encountered a hotel where the subway directly connects to an underground plaza, which then leads straight to the hotel's basement level. There were even staff members in the basement to guide us. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a dinosaur-themed kids' room! As soon as we walked in, we saw dinosaur plushies and a little play kitchen – our child was absolutely thrilled. It was also the first time we'd slept on a 2.4-meter king-size bed; previously, 1.8-meter beds felt a bit cramped with two adults and a child. Just for that, I think Wenpu really gets it. The room was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtful. They've done an excellent job with the parent-child aspects, and every staff member we met had an incredibly friendly attitude. Overall, the experience was perfect. There are museums, libraries, and other attractions nearby. We'll definitely stay at Wenpu again next time we're in Changzhou!"

"Here's the bottom line: this hotel boasts the size and scale of a 5-star establishment, but its facilities and service management barely hit 4-star. At 500 yuan per night, it's neither good nor bad, but it clearly falls short of 5-star standards. Pros: 1) Efficient check-in process. Unlike some luxury hotels where the front desk staff fumbles with keyboards for ages, this was quick. 2) No deposit required. Again, better than most luxury hotels. Cons: 1) Extremely poor breakfast experience. First, on our first morning after check-in, coinciding with a holiday peak, there were no staff to seat guests, leading to utter chaos. Even queuing and crowd control at the entrance would have been better. Second, the variety of breakfast items was extremely limited – the least I've seen at any 5-star hotel. Third, the restaurant temperature was so low that people were constantly sneezing. Is this extreme cost-cutting or just terrible equipment? 2) Although the room air conditioning is Honeywell, you can't set the temperature individually. I woke up cold on the first night. The room's soundproofing is also poor; you can hear every little noise from the hallway clearly. 3) Poor maintenance of public areas, giving a sense of desolation everywhere. Severely worn stone, a permanently closed lounge, and a complete lack of aesthetic appeal. 4) Staff lack basic etiquette. Once, on my way back to my room, I encountered a woman in uniform with a name tag who didn't bother to greet me. In contrast, the cleaning auntie was very polite; when I thanked her, she replied, 'You're welcome.'"

Plus, RT-Mart is right next door, making shopping for local specialties very convenient and offering great value. We'll definitely come again! Our room even offered direct views of Tianning Temple."
