"While the hotel is quiet and safe, centrally located and has large rooms with flat screen TV’s and comfortable beds, this is at most a three-star hotel, in my opinion. Amenities are sparse (e.g., one towel, one water glass, one complementary bottle of water on first night only, no coffee or tea in room). Although the room was clean, the window had obviously not been washed for sometime. Prices at the onsite restaurant are very high as is the price of the airport shuttle. One plus is the rooftop bar and pool with great views of the city."

"I stayed two nights at the Oceanic which is in a good location, within an easy walk of the port where you can get the ferries to Goree island and Ziguinchor. My room was simple but clean with good air con, wifi and hot water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty."
