"This was my second stay at La Residence. I still recommend the place but with a caveat. If you want to at quiet place during the day, think twice before you opt for La Residence. I stayed at the room 14 at the back and unfortunately there is ongoing construction right next to the building. During the day, in the week days, the noise was too much. I believe customers should be aware of this fact. Management could not move me to another room and told me i am not entitled to a refund even if i wanted to cancel and cut my stay short. Not ideal for muslims during Ramadan. Suhur not provided like most hotels in Dakar during Ramadan"

"I loved the tranquility of this place and especially the warm welcome from the owner. Even though the internet didn't work for one phone, it did for the others. However, I had hoped for an en-suite bathroom in my room and a room on a higher floor, but since I was the only one on that floor, the overall experience was pleasant."

Hôtel Fleur de Lys Point E

"Great location for exploring the local landscape off a quieter side street not far from the University campus. Dakar's open sewer is not a good idea; it pollutes the air, ruining your walking experience, and there were stagnant pools of water on the frontage, along with trash cans that have seen better days. The atmosphere is dead quiet in the rooms, a huge plus because the outside is busy and can get loud. I stayed on the 4th floor; the room was large. I love the high ceilings. The mattress was perfect, and sleep quality immaculate. The carpet had seen better days. Cleanliness was wanting; roaches were creeping in from the drain. A fumigation should be done — because the rooms are good. The carpet from the lift was not clean; it was damaged in spots. There was hair from the cleaner left on the floor of the bathroom. A big bonus is the rooftop pool; the temperature is right with 360 views. The gym has amazing potential because of the view of Dakar on 8th floor, but the windows are dirty and spoil the experience. Poolside cleanliness was also not good. Breakfast was adequate; coffee was below expectations. The food and drink are quite pricey. Fleur de Lys Point E is a mix of highs and lows."

"Pokój na pierwszym piętrze, od strony ogrodu, był pełen owadów, wszędzie, nawet na łóżku. Obsługa była bardzo zła, zignorowali moją skargę, zostawiając mnie bez dostępu do internetu w pokoju przez 12 godzin, jednak kontaktowałem się z recepcją 5 razy. Nie polecam tego miejsca nikomu."
