"If you can book alternative accommodation in Drumheller in advance, you can avoid this place. We booked a double room for two adults and two children, but they only provided two sets of toiletries. We had to ask the front desk ourselves. We asked on the first day, and when they cleaned the room the next day, they only gave us two sets again. This is incredibly careless and outrageous. Taking away four used towels and giving us four clean ones is something that doesn't need to be specifically mentioned, right? The room's air conditioner only blew air, it didn't cool. It was 35 degrees Celsius outside, and probably around 30 degrees Celsius inside, making it very hot and difficult to sleep at night."

"It is still very good to see the Dinosaur Museum halfway from Calgary to Edmonton. The hotel is in a good location, to the Royal Thirl Museum, to the Horseshoe Canyon, to the Hoodoos Monster Column is a ten-minute drive away. There are not many breakfast options, but you can make muffins now. There is 24-hour hot water in the breakfast place, which is very convenient for our Chinese. There are no slippers in the room, so you have to prepare yourself."

"It was good overall, but the soundproofing was a bit poor. The breakfast was delicious, and the location was good as there was a McDonald's, several restaurants, and a convenience store nearby."

"Room was good - nothing to write home about. It was clean, the bed were realitvely comfortable. No complaints. We chose this hotel as we travel as a family with our dogs. FYI - they do charge a relatively high pet fee. They charge per pet, $25/day."

Heartwood Inn ★★★

"Highly recommended! We reserved the Upper Turret Room which features a king sized bed, fireplace, and a 4-piece bathroom with a double sized whirlpool tub. It was a hot weekend and the air conditioning kept us perfectly cool, the bed was super comfortable and it was quiet. There’s a bar fridge and the room comes with all the necessary toiletries. The new owners of the inn are great. Everything is neat and clean and they welcomed us with a plate of cookies and some water and juice. In the mornings there are multiple kinds of coffee, some granola bars, homemade muffins or oatmeal if you prefer. It’s a good location, on a quiet street, walking a distance to restaurants & pubs, only a few minute drive away from the Badlands Amphitheatre (oh my gosh, was a stunning venue, if you haven’t been here you must come) and 12 minutes from a VERY challenging golf course. This was our second stay at the Heartwood and we will definitely be back."
