"Pokój był bezpłatny i ładnie wyposażony w najbardziej wygodne łóżko! Łazienka była duża i były śliczne białe ręczniki (ale nie łazienki, jak opisano). Obszar salonu był uroczy i dostępny przez cały czas. Ale...Śniadanie było samoobsługowym stylu kontynentalnym i my (i pozostała para) załadowaliśmy i umieściliśmy na zmywarce, którą nigdy nie robiliśmy w B&B! W ostatniej nocy prosiliśmy o wentylator, ponieważ nie mogliśmy dostać wiatru z okna, gdy drzwi konserwatora były zamknięte w nocy. Wentylator wykonany na lepsze nocny sen i sugeruję, że pokoje mają tam na stałe. Na potwierdzającym e-mail powiedział, że pokoje gości nie były gwarantowane za darmo hałasu. Może czuł się niedostatecznie! Słyszeliśmy, jak ten facet obok ma dobry stary żwór i jeśli nie rozmawialiśmy sami, usłyszeliśmy ich rozmowy. Użyliśmy naszego prezentu świątecznego BuyAGift ‘2 noc luksusowy pobyt’ i jak zostałem 3 noc, zapłaciliśmy różnicę, która była £ 230! Ouch."

"When we were looking for somewhere to stay we were concerned that there had been no reviews written for here since 2022? However due to being offered at a good price and being satisfied with what reviews were offered we chose to stay for two nights in May 2024. The checkin was easy and the accommodation (Hen House) is well presented, comfortable and warm. We found the information folder made us smile as it referenced info from 2019 & clearly hadn’t been updated for some time. The lack of any information detailing walks we could take from the accommodation with our two dogs was also frustrating. That said, we got what we wanted, a peaceful stay in a handy location. We had an enjoyable time exploring Durham city as well as Hamsterley Forest. We self catered with no issues. The WiFi was essential for the smart TV to work, so when the WiFi was knocked off on our last day before we had even left, meant our last impression wasn’t great. If we needed to stay in the area again we would consider returning though."

"Stayed here for the bank holiday weekend as we were visiting Ushaw house and gardens for the classic car show and this is 5 mins away in a beautiful village with great pub. The Bay Horse, as recommended by John the owner of the cottage. Good communication prior to arrival. Comfy bed, great rain shower, dishwasher oven and microwave. Nice little touches like a pint of milk in the fridge salt pepper and oil in the cupboard. Easy parking right outside. Clean and looked after. Definitely worth the money, and lovely village location. ."
