"Spacious room, nice kitchenette and basic accommodation. The room was a little tired and smelled a bit musty, but very clean and I slept well. Check-in was straight forward enough at the bar and very nice bar staff member. Several buses can be caught very nearby and it’s around 10 minutes into town (£2 single or £4 day pass). I would stay again :)"

"Very cozy place with an excellent onsite restaurant/pub. We were able to take a stroll into town and come back easily whenever we wanted. Service is friendly and rooms are comfortable for a good night’s sleep. All in all, a restful stay in an unforgettable historic city."

"Mieliśmy urocze dwa noclegi. Kaye i Steve są bardzo przyjazne, chłodne i zakwaterowane. Dom od domu poczucie, lokalizacja do centrum Durham jest idealna i położona w pięknych miejscach z fab widoki. Bardzo spokojny i cichy. Wspaniałe udogodnienia zewnętrzne i udogodnienia w kuchni/lounge są podobne do samooferowanej nieruchomości! Jest to bardzo przydatne, zwłaszcza jeśli pobyt kilka nocy. Wszystko było niesamowicie czyste wszędzie. Śniadanie było wysokiej jakości wybór kontynentalny, z świeżymi jajkami i fab kucharka jaj do gotowania jajek, tak jak lubisz. I wszystkie niezbędne świeże kawy i prasy. Jedynym zniżką, jakiego czuliśmy, była ciągła ranna aktywność, uderzanie i trzęsienie podłogowe z góry. Wielkie wartości za pieniądze. Spodziewamy się pobytu ponownie."

"We stayed in the 1 bed cottage & our friends stayed in the 2 bed next door. They are situated in a lovely village setting, Milk in the fridge & a box of biscuits were much appreciated on our arrival. Good off street parking & a good bus service into Durham City Centre. Great, welcoming pub across the road, good food & nice atmosphere ( they do breakfast too). The cottages had every thing you need for a short stay but we all agreed that there is room for some improvements to make the cottage a little more comfortable. The soft furnishings were well worn & a little grubby, beds so uncomfortable (maybe this is personal choice but we felt the beds along with the sofas, towels & bed linen could do with replacing) the general cleanliness was ok but then you start noticing the cobwebs etc, nothing major but the attention to detail would make these cottages go from ok to luxury. In the 2 bed cottage the smoke alarm was missing. Overall we had a good stay & the village setting , the owners friendliness etc is worthy of the rating given as the points I have noted can be so easily sorted."
