"It hasn't been long since it opened, so it is very clean, and the owner and staff are all incredibly friendly. Although it is close to the main road, it is very quiet at night compared to other accommodations. I highly recommend it!!! Just be careful when walking around late at night, as dogs bark in the alleyways!!"

"Review of Hotel Michanti, El Salvador: Positives: The location is fantastic! The hotel is just steps away from an amazing beach, making it easy to enjoy the sun and surf. I highly recommend getting up early to catch the beautiful sunrise. The outdoor decor is nice and inviting, creating a relaxed atmosphere for a chill getaway. Negatives: We arrived late at night (around 10 PM), and the staff member who showed us to our room did not provide any information about the Wi-Fi, where to refill water, or breakfast times—essential details that travelers typically need after a long flight. My husband had to step outside to gather this information on his own. When you arrive at a hotel, you expect a warm welcome and a brief orientation, but instead, the staff member simply walked us to our room, opened the door, and left. Additionally, there was construction scheduled for the following morning, which was mentioned in a message we received the night we checked in. Unfortunately, this resulted in a complete loss of Wi-Fi and electricity for the entire morning. Given the price we paid, I would consider staying elsewhere next time. I really wanted to enjoy my stay, but service is a crucial aspect of any hotel experience. If the staff had been aware of the outages, they could have at least apologized or provided us with some information during check-in. Overall, Hotel Michanti has a great location, and the breakfast was good, though a bit pricey. However, the customer service left something to be desired."

"We stayed three nights here and it was a wonderful experience. Very helpful, friendly & welcoming staff who spoke English well. The room was basic but had everything we needed & had a balcony space with hammock overlooking the river. Alex the host was super kind & welcoming to us. We felt like an extension of the community family there. Morning yoga with Zonte Yoga was wonderful, we enjoyed the workout space above the rooms with ocean views. The restaurant food onsite was very good. Breakfast was included in our stay; the fresh orange juice for breakfast was amazing. The avocado toast was the best; super fresh & delicious. The coffee is very good here as well. The only thing that could be improved is the water pressure otherwise there was hot water that could be adjusted, soap & shampoo along with towels is provided. Also the work out space above should be closed off during certain hours as late night & early evening we could hear children up there running around stomping above our heads. But otherwise everything was great & we really enjoyed our stay there. Recommend this place to all types of travelers."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the doors lock with keys, which made the room feel secure. It is a great place for surfers, especially because of the location and the relaxed atmosphere. I stayed in a private room with a big bed, a table, a shelf and AC, which I could adjust myself. The bathroom was shared with one other room, so it still felt quite private. The room was cleaned after check-out or, depending on the number of nights, also in between. Since I had the room to myself, it never felt dirty. There is also a small store with the essentials integrated, which is very convenient, and there are two restaurants directly there as well. Overall, it was a top experience and I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for surfers looking for a relaxed stay in El Zonte. :)"

"The hotel was under construction, but despite that, the facilities were really poor. It was a shared (tiny) bathroom for 4 rooms. Toiled barely worked and the shower was cold. All that is fine if the price is low, but it was not a cheap hotel. I won't stay here again."

"We loved the set up here at Almare. Being in front of the ocean is a magnificent experience. The swimming pool , the dome the breakfast hut all facing the ocean view. It's such an exclusive experience. I would definitely recommend staying here. The Dome is so neat being able to have a clear oceanfront view from your bed... very modern decor."
