"This hotel is worth staying for the stunning mountain views alone. Otherwise, the rooms are a bit dirty, especially the bathroom, with lots of dead insects on the curtains. The bathroom lacks even basic amenities (soap dish, glass for toothbrushes, etc.). There were mosquitoes in the room upon check-in. The staff didn't seem particularly concerned."

"Unfortunately, I arrived very late and didn't feel like looking for somewhere else. The door could only be locked with a padlock and the room wasn't really clean. The best thing about the accommodation was the view, which is really beautiful."

"The place is great the staff are friendly . Breakfast was hot and time upon request thank you for hospitality. My issue is : I had to repay cash my staying , knowing im already prepaid it online . Now i have refund request ongoing, hoping it will closed soon . My whole trip schedule changed and plan due to my current budget ."

"We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly."

"Stay away from this hotel! The hotel rooms isn’t what’s pictured on booking sites, the entrance is through a forest on a mountain and through other buildings. The walls is stained, door is leaking, and the room are nasty. The entrance pathway crumbled under me so a nail went through my foot and got several scratches. It is NOT a hotel, not even a bungalow. I would rather sleep with the homeless dogs than stay there one night. We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. At least the manager was nice enough to give a full refund and drive us to another hotel."

"This place is a little gem! The room is newly decorated and the same goes for the bathroom. Aircon and Wi-Fi are working great. Everything is spotless clean and super comfortable. You wake up in paradise and breakfast is just delicious. But moreover is the courtesy and kindness of the hosts that makes the difference. We have been treated with gloves, we couldn't ask for more. The location is excellent for exploring Ella and the surroundings but in a quiet corner of the town. And they also offer an exceptional car service to move around and/or to your next destination. I cannot recommend more this place, the best stay we had in Sri Lanka!!!"

"Dobre hotele, z widokiem na góry i Mały Adamov Pik. Może być wieczorem w łóżku. Może być kawa i wychodzić na tarasę przed pokój (w pokoju jest herbata, rozpuszczalna kawa, cukier, suche śmietany, herbata). Kiedy patrzyliśmy na wschód słońca z gór, zauważyliśmy, że nie tylko my, ale także rodzina makaka toku na sąsiednim drzewie. W razie wczesnego poranka, nie dajcie im jeść bez hotelu. Zazwyczaj makaki są nieśmiały i jeśli zobaczą, że jedzenie jest zbyt uparte. Śniadanie było bardzo smaczne i naładowane, owocowa talerz na śniadanie, świeża gotowana kawa, tosty, jajko. W pokoju jest puchar, szampon, lodówka, herbata, szampon, gel do prysznica, mydło z bardzo przyjemnym zapachem. Przejścia do europejskich wędrówek dały nam na żądanie. Miejsce jest na wysokości, ale nie jest trudne dotrzeć do centrum miasta z kawiarniami w pobliżu. Jeśli leniwy pieszo, można wywołać tuk-tuk przez pikmi, aby wejść na górę, ale jeśli nie jest to wygodne, aby wejść na górę. Po zasiedleniu w hotelu, zjechali do miasta, zjedli pyszne obiad i poszli pieszo na Mały Piek Adama, a następnie na 9 Ark Bridge. Po Sigiii, jak wszyscy, w piechotę, pojechali rano do Demodaru, wsiadli do pociągu i jechały do Bandarawell. Hotel poleca, lokalizacja góry. Plus bardzo lubię takie małe hotele bez ogromnej liczby ludzi. Jakbyś był sam z górami 🥰"

"Room was clean & spacious. Abit hard to drive up to but the view makes up for it (you can see the railway tracks from the villa). Service was also great, very helpful. Hotel breakfast was very nice. Very relaxing environment, recommend for those who want a little getaway."
