"The staff were incredibly accommodating. I had a free early check in and a late check out (as the hotel wasn't too busy for this option). The hotel room was honestly impeccable. Brilliant amenities and space without compromising on quality. Bed was a 10/10 and the option to cook in the room was an instant winner for late night snacks after work. There are available snacks downstairs throughout the night, and the breakfast is free. Attached is an image from a good local bar also (Cafe Nord) - CASH ONLY. Brilliant atmosphere and not too far from the hotel."

Apartamenty są bardzo piękne, nowoczesne i stylowe, łóżka niesamowicie wygodne. Sypialnia jest prawie przypomina domek, ponieważ jest przestronnie oddzielony w jedno apartamenty. Although it does not have a suitable parking space, you can always find a free parking space in the streets around. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Good tips for the city and for locations. I will definitely take the hotel again at the next visit to Essen."

"We came to stay at this hotel over the weekend and we came for work. Truly we believed it’s not a 4 star. It is a 3 star. Reception is only open from 7am till 3pm. We arrived late, so there was no receptionist, our room was clean but the sink was so blocked that it wasn’t possible to properly use it at all, not even to brush the teeth cause the water would come to the floor. The next day in the morning I went and asked a receptionist to unblock the silk. Seemed like or she didn’t care or she didn’t speak English well. She didn’t even say she’s sorry that in a 4 star hotel the water comes on the floor if we use a sink. After we left to work all day and when we came back in the evening - nothing was fixed. Sink is the same very much blocked and receptionist is gone. I’d not recommend and not come back. Had to brush my teeth with a water bootle. Also there is only one pillow and house keeping just turned off the heating so it’s freezing cold when we come back, instead of giving fresh towels, bath mat (they forgot once again to give us a bath mat) or toilet paper. Honestly this hotel is not worth the money at all."

"1. Check-in/Check-out: 5/5 Straightforward and friendly. 2. Rooms (cleanliness, amenities) 5/5 Spotless. Comfy. Nice. 3. On-premise restaurants: 5/5 Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. 4. Pool area: n/a 5. Service: 5/5 Notes: A few interesting observations for the property. There were…no fridge no phone and no safe in the room. Deliberate choice by the hotel, when asked about it. It is located right in the middle of a UNESCO site. The coal mine was right there and now you can explore the site and a museum. Hotel’s decoration shows that as well. The interior design is very cool and modern. From the color choices to lighting to furniture, it is a very cozy property throughout. The highlight of our trip, however, was to see the dancer of the TS, apparently they were staying here as well, at least half of them. My kiddo was star struck. Overall weighted score: 5.0 out of 5.0 Would we come back? Yes and Yes, especially if you are going to Gelsenkirchen arena."
