The service was correct, the bathroom quite acceptable, good. Comfortable beds and everything spacious. Being on the fourth floor, there was no noise from the street. The only downside is that you could hear noises like pipes, which was a bit annoying, you could hear that weird noise (we think) when others were taking showers or using the WC. We didnt have breakfast. In general, the experience was good and the staff was attentive.

Good hotels, such as this, have common features. This had some particular ones. Our dawn-view of the sun rising over the harbour and Old Faro town was one, followed by breakfast on the 5th Floor. We walked in our first day to the strains of La vie en rose on a petit-grand. Fernando's relaxed piano style matched our mood and the splendid view our over the Rio Formosa to the islands and the sea. Breakfast looked varied, but I concentrated on the bread and cakes. These, and good coffee, say 'Portugal' to me. Life felt good. Eva is close to easy and interesting strolling in the sun. We had lunch on the 5th floor on our last day (3rd). It was busy, mainly with locals, enjoying a winter-solstice fest. This time the piano played by Andre, son of our breakfast entertainer. A lighter style but both saying 'class'

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel at the start of June 2023 for 5 nights. I cannot be more complimentary about the service we received from reception staff, breakfast staff and the two 'managers'. My wife has limited mobility and would use a wheel chair. Everything possible was done to make her stay as full as possible and our lovely room, at the front of the hotel was full of tech and extremely comfortable. Not a beech hotel but a glorious city break base, and Faro has more to offer than you might think. Many thanks to Ricardo and his team. Apologies if spelling is not perfect.

Lovely friendly hotel in quiet area but near Old Town. Rooms nice although see through glass partition to bathroom fortunately with blind. Friendly helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. No kettle but could access boiling water for 1 euro . NB need to book time slot for breakfast. Nearby cafe and restaurants v good. Good value

I went alone but never bored. I had a late check in and everything was spot on. I communicated with the hotel about my flight change and quick response they booked me a taxi which was there waiting at weeee hours of the morning. The cleanliness was %100 rooms clean I cannot fault. I enjoyed the bus ride, the Uber was ok. The area was quiet if anyone looking for closeness but the taxi price was good. There was so much to do. My last day went to the spa over by the aqua park OMG it was rejuvenating only thing was you have to pay with a discount if you are staying at the hotel., for 2 hours 25 euros I think it can be a little cheaper for hotel guest. But I am not one to complain it is a kids friendly hotel so expect to hear kids running around planning to bring my grandkids next time, I know they will enjoy it. Breakfast was ok, ate outside for dinner there is so much place to choose from. Just a Uber ride away. A big shout out to Bruno very good cocktail and he gave me tips of places to eat out side. The hostel is the perfect spot for traveling to the Algarve region. The town is very cute and close to the beach. Besides, it is located at the very center of the area, so you have 45 min car ride to the East beaches and 45 min car ride to the West beaches. The staff was super friendly, and the facilities were very neat and clean. We stayed in the suites, and the price was super affordable. It is highly recommended!

Very clean and new hotel. The carpets in the hallways were brilliant - well thought out to make wheeled suitcases easy to pull; also stylish. Bed was super comfortable, AC very effective, room was kept immaculately clean by friendly cleaning staff. Friendly staff served breakfast and in the roof top bar which was amazing, with 360degree views. Dipping pool and sun loungers were well-used; hard to get a lounger in time! Downside: some very odd management decisions. Despite description on Trip there was no cafe, no lunch or dinner and not even bar snacks! I rang on the 2nd day to ask for a bottle of water … response “Madam, this is a 3* hotel. You only get a bottle of water on your first day”!! Bizarre. I was able to buy a $0.99 bottle from the bar for €2.50! Breakfast: the ubiquitous coffee machine producing the most disgusting coffee - I tried all of them! In the end I risked tea and even the hot water had scum on it. I know I was not alone … bacon - HP sauce standing proud like a statue - no sausages, cooked tomato, fried egg etc! Pancakes and waffles - no syrup! Nice fresh bread rolls and croissants. Sliced cheese and packaged ham. Selection of cereals, orange juice and good selection of fruit. After 5 breakfasts I got fed up. WARNING - I was asked to give them my debit card to pay - she wrote down all the details! After I thought - why? I asked why - she said do they could charge me after I left if anything was missing or broken. I was assured this was legal in Portugal! I told them that was what “checkout” was for! I froze my card but I was really angry and when I have time to get a replacement I will need to cancel it! Balcony nice but only looked onto other rooms! Looking down - WHY NO GARDEN???!!! Just rooftops. I recommend a 4 hour boat trip …. Maybe 30m pleasant walk. Also hire bikes and go to the Nature Reserve - don’t miss Roman Salt Pits and beach crabs ….😊

Lovely hotel, with staff that really go out of their way to make your stay special. Free shuttle to beach but remember to book and then we got the ferry back. It was my husbands birthday and they had left a bottle of bubbly on ice and a room with a partial Sea view. The bed was super comfy. The room very clean. Nice hotel decor. The roof top terrace was a must and we used this for drinks before we went out and then for breakfast the following morning which was great. The views are lovely. Hotel is perfectly positioned for restaurants and shops. We used the pool on the roof top terrace and had no problem getting a sunbed. Towels you could either ask for at reception if you needed to take to beach or a towel rack was by the pool (small pool). The lovely reception staff then arranged for our transfer back to airport. Which arrived promptly and was 5 star. Thank you Hotel Faro we will be back!
