"I was influenced by a blogger's recommendation and booked Shili Lili for our anniversary. But, but, this stay utterly extinguished all my interest in it forever!!!! Our trip involved three families. We booked a family room (two bedrooms) on Ctrip. The pricing was: one King Room with a view for 799 RMB + 200 RMB for the weekend = 999 RMB. We arrived around 2 PM, and the front desk informed us the room wasn't ready yet, estimating about an hour's wait. So, we took the kids to play by the pool. While the kids were playing, a staff member dressed as a 'clown' 🤡 was cleaning mats with foam. My friend handed slippers to a child, slipped, and ended up with a badly bruised knee. The staff member offered no apology whatsoever, and even had the audacity to say my friend shouldn't have walked that way. Excuse me, but the other side is the pool – where else were we supposed to walk? Should we have jumped in and swum across?? Considering we were all there to enjoy ourselves, my friend, despite the severe pain, decided not to make a fuss. After about an hour, they called to say the room was ready, and we quickly checked in. One of the bedrooms in the family room was incredibly small – just wide enough for a standard suitcase; forget about opening it up. Looking at the photos, you'd assume all rooms come with a bathtub, right? Wrong! Ours didn't! After playing in the water, the kids were ready for a hot shower, only to find there was no hot water, just cold! We immediately requested a room change. At the front desk, we discovered something shocking: a walk-in booking for the same room was only a little over 1400 RMB, while we, who booked through a platform, paid over 1600 RMB! What's the point of booking in advance then?! We thought booking ahead would save us hassle and money! When we went to confront the front desk, the manager had this 'that's completely normal' look on their face, spouting a bunch of nonsense about different channels and different promotions. They refused to refund a single penny or offer any compensation. It felt as if we, loyal customers who trusted them and booked in advance, were simply suckers who deserved to be ripped off! To summarize: It felt like I wasn't paying for a room, but an 'IQ tax' – like I was paying for my own gullibility. Hotel management, can you sleep at night? Because I certainly couldn't, I was so furious. My advice to everyone: Don't book here! If you absolutely must stay, call them on the day to ask for the price – definitely do not book online in advance! The room was completely different from the pictures, and the staff stubbornly argued it was exactly the same. We brought up that my friend slipped and got injured, and their staff showed no remorse. The front desk's response was that the clown 🤡 was a temporary worker who wouldn't be working there tomorrow. ??? So, no apology needed??? After much back and forth, they finally agreed to change our room, but then demanded we pay the difference!! Still trying to 'harvest leeks' and squeeze more money out of us!! We refused. Regarding the room conditions, they eventually moved us to a room with a bathtub. As I was taking a bath, my friend called and said, 'You better stop bathing, I can see everything clearly from the balcony upstairs.' I thought he was joking, but then he sent a picture. (As shown in the image). At night, there was a constant, loud humming sound of machinery, making it difficult to fall asleep. I had high expectations for Shili Lili, which is why I chose it for such an important occasion. What a huge disappointment!!!"
