"We were a group of 15 on motorbikes traveling to Scotland. The rooms were good and new. The staff were very smiley and friendly. We all had an evening meal & breakfast and it was very nice. There was lots of free parking and it was quiet. I'd recommned it."

"We had a wonderful birthday weekend at Langley Castle. The grounds are stunning, and the location is perfect for exploring the Northumberland countryside and coast. We stayed in the Castle Lodge, which was excellent. Huge thanks to the staff, especially Aidan and Ellie, for being so welcoming and professional. Dinner at the Josephine Restaurant was a highlight—the birthday surprise (chocolate truffles!) for my partner was a very thoughtful touch. After a superb cooked-to-order breakfast and a guided tour the next day, we left feeling very impressed. Highly recommended!"

"Room 9 stayed 26 - 27 May 2026 Wonderfully peaceful location The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff are the very pleasant. The food was great . The view was breathtaking as we had a balcony. A little outdated and needs some TLC. I enjoyed the pool, pretty much had it to myself, again a bit of an update would be welcome. But on the whole would definitely return. Thank you Steve and Nikki 😁"

"Grupa moich przyjaciół odwiedziła Rose i Korona. Zaproponowano, że e powinien zamawiać, co zrobiliśmy kilka dni przed posiłkiem. Menu jest duże, ale można zamówić kilka zmian w menu. Dwóch z nas przybyło do 6.15pm, ale parkingi były prawie pełne. Kiedy większość z nas spotkała się w gabinecie, przyszła do nas dama i sprawdziła nasze zamówienia w pobliżu baru. Byłoby o wiele lepiej, gdyby nas zabrano do naszego zarezerwowanego stołu, niż zablokowano koniec baru. Niektóre posiłki były niedostarczone, ale wcześniej zamówiliśmy. Oznaczało to, że niektórzy z moich przyjaciół musiały zmienić swój wybór posiłku. W końcu nas zabrali do naszego stołu. Wciąż więcej sprawdzeń i zmian do somr wybranych posiłków. Zauważyłem, że dwie pary, które wzięły stoły w pobliżu, ale zamawiały po nas, zostały uicfkly serwowane przez innego kelnera. W końcu nasze posiłki przybyły. Mój gammon był trochę przegotowany i suchy, ponieważ nie było wilgotnych, soczystych obszarów. Większość członków grupy jeść raz nie dwa razy w tygodniu. W większości restauracji zwykle zamówię tylko jeden posiłek. W latach 30-tych nauczyłem się nie marnować jedzenia i zrobiłem National Service, gdzie więc nadal próbuję zostawić pustą talerz. To było dawno temu, gdy zamówiłem deser, ale poczułem, że mam miejsce na jeden. To zaskoczyło moich przyjaciół. Od dawna nie odwiedziłem tej wsi właściciela inn. Menedżer tego inna musi uzyskać uchwyt zarządu innów, aby wyciąć trivialne zmiany z menu do tego, co zamówiłeś. Obiad jest trochę drogi i cień mniej niż inne restauracje, które odwiedziłem. Mimo to jestem zadowolony, że ja i moi przyjaciele wspierali wsi właściciela inn."

"We stayed in the Radcliffe room.It was comfortable and clean although the bathroom was very small.The staff went above and beyond though and nothing was a bother.The cooked breakfast was nice and the bar is nice and clean.Would give it a go if your looking for somewhere to stay in the area."

The Beaumont Hexham
"Bed very low and hard bedhead curved so pillows fall down behind. Breakfast advertised 17.50 when went they charged you for individual items which turns out very expensive. Parking only 7 cars free in underground carpark. Bar has awful draught beer if you like beer with lemon flavour your ok. Asked for sofa bed for other guest when arrived not set up or bedding. After paying alot of money for 1 night stay thought ot wd be good. Sorry but i would not book this hotel again"

"Great traditional BnB! We were very warmly welcomed by Lois. Love the chill out area. Also thoughtful touches in the bathroom like makeup remover pads. Really appreciated that there were two chairs in the room. Also…and I wish everywhere did this…simplified wifi code instead of a long string of numbers and letters! Lovely freshly cooked breakfast, chilled water and cordials available and a fridge for guests’ use. All at a great price. This is a fantastic place to stay and I thoroughly recommend it."

"W ten weekend uczestniczyliśmy w rodzinnym weselu w Healey Barn i postanowiliśmy zostać tutaj. Podróżowaliśmy z Norwich. Jak tylko dotarliśmy do Elizabeth była bardzo miła. Pokój był bezpłatny i miły i ciepły (to była zimowa noc). Miły pokój z dużo lokalnych książek i map. Zarezerwowałem nasz pokój kilka miesięcy temu i Elizabeth miło pomógł z lokalnym numerem taksówki na miejsce weselne, a ona nie miała wydania, że przyjeżdżamy późno wieczorem - długa droga z Norwich! Śniadanie następnego dnia było urocze i bardzo domowe. Najpierw w sobotę w Hexham, jak tylko 10 minut napędu. Urocze miejsce, fantastyczny host, bardzo poleca."

"A simply amazing stay. Firstly Ian and his team helped us remedy an error made by ******* on booking rooms at the Bowes hotel. Really friendly and interpersonal staff along with extensive knowledge of the area and further beyond particularly Hadrian's Wall path along with the Roman Museums and Forts. The food served was amazing aswell, better than some other independent restaurants, also the Thai-cakes are a must try! The room is clean and tidy with a great buffet breakfast to boot, they also make lunch for your journey ahead. If you are staying at Bardon Mill, this is the place to be, just a walk away from the station that connects back to Newcastle. Friendly neighbourhood and locals that shares stories from their journeys and also fellow travellers from around the world mostly doing the Hadrian's Wall walk. I cannot fault this wonderful and cosy hotel and pub that is the Bowes Hotel!"
