"I’ve heard about K’s through a hiking blog. It was a highly recommended base to do hikes around Asahidake Onsen. The location of the guesthouse couldn’t be more perfect- walking distance to the ropewa and also in between the local hikes around the area. The best part of staying at K’s were the volunteers. Maria, in particular, makes sure that the guests are comfortable and attended to. She even informed me of a local festival. The onsen area is also so nice- perfect to wrap up the day in after a long hike. My only suggestion would be to keep the onsen available at least up to the 11am check out time (it’s closed between 9am-3pm for cleaning which I understand also). All in all- great experience!"

"Although the building of the hotel was constructed in 1997, the room was modernly decorated and very comfortable. There were 3 onsens available for guests to use and they could not be missed. The dinner and breakfast were remarkable. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was located near mount Asahi-dake. It was good to have onsen after hiking in the mountain. What’s more, the area which the hotel was located was free from light pollution. I saw a sky full of stars and it was superb."

"Wspaniały hotel i lepszy niż oczekiwano. Cicha lokalizacja. Nasz pokój był uroczy - Zarezerwowałem pokój gospodarczy, ale ten, który nam dano, wydawał się dużo ładniejszy niż to. Śniadanie i kolacja były doskonałe. Dużo jedzenia i świetna okazja do spróbowania różnych rzeczy, w tym konia sashimi. Sala hotelowa była świetna do relaksu w z wliczonymi napojami i przekąskami. W sumie czuła się dość luksusowa, i naprawdę lubiłam nocne stroje."
