【Udogodnienia】
Cała atmosfera dziedzińca była wspaniała, zwłaszcza wieczorem. Przy ćmianym świetle czerwonych lampionów czuliśmy się, jakbyśmy przenieśli się w czasie do późnej dynastii Qing i wczesnej Republiki. Gdyby nie było tak zimno, na pewno siedzielibyśmy na zewnątrz, pijąc wino i rozmawiając. Jednak zabytkowe budynki mają swoje wady – dodanie nowoczesnych udogodnień z pewnością nie zapewni takiego samego komfortu. Klimatyzacja była ustawiona na 30 stopni, a mimo to przez całą noc było nam zimno. Prysznic miał słaby strumień wody, a kilka strużek zimnej wody przeciekało, więc jednocześnie braliśmy gorący prysznic i czuliśmy zimne krople na ciele. Zgłosiliśmy ten problem właścicielowi, mając nadzieję, że zostanie szybko naprawiony.”

Hotel znajduje się w centrum starożytnego miasta, co dodatkowo potęguje jego wspaniałą atmosferę. Budynki hotelu są bardzo stare, ale w fantastycznym stanie (jakby wybudowane wczoraj). Już sam spacer do pokoju przez wiejski dziedziniec to niesamowite uczucie. Cały personel biegle władał językiem angielskim, był niezwykle gościnny i hojny.
Sam pokój był bardzo przestronny i niesamowicie czysty. Wyposażony we wszystkie niezbędne udogodnienia, takie jak ogrzewanie i klimatyzacja, ekskluzywny router Wi-Fi. W łazience były dodatkowe buty, a nawet suszarka do włosów. Dostaliśmy świeże szczoteczki i pastę do zębów. Wanna również jest niesamowita, a deszczownica ma świetną temperaturę (co jest dla mnie ważne, ponieważ nie lubię bawić się mieszaczem wody).
Jeśli planujesz pobyt w Pingyao (starożytnym mieście), mogę szczerze polecić to miejsce i na pewno zarezerwuję je ponownie podczas mojej następnej podróży do Pingyao.”

„We had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.”

„Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here.
The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town.
We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice).
The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great.
Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!!
The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful.
Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).”

PPhilYgConveniently located about 100m from the main street in the ancient city and the South gate tower. The room was beautifully appointed in a traditional manner with lovely Chinese objet d’art, and matched their online pictures. We were picked up and dropped off from the train station, and our daily breakfast bento box was interesting, generous and delicious. There was also wontons or noodles, coffee, juice and yoghurt. The staff looked after us well.

GGuest UserThis charming courtyard house has an old-world charm that my family absolutely loved. The owner's homemade breakfast was light and delicious, and the whole experience was very comfortable. The owners were incredibly welcoming and warm. My kids had such a great time playing with their twins that they didn't want to leave! Wishing the owners and their family a happy new year in advance!

GGośćTym razem miałem bardzo komfortowy pobyt w innym zajeździe! Już po przekroczeniu progu domu poczujesz się jak w domu. Podwórko jest pełne kwiatów i roślin. Tak wygodnie jest siedzieć na krześle i pić herbatę na słońcu. Szef był bardzo entuzjastyczny i rozmawiał ze mną tak, jakby rozmawiał ze mną w domu. Dał mi nawet prezent zanim wyjechałem. Pokój był bardzo czysty, a pościel i kołdry pachniały słońcem. W łazience znajdowały się oddzielne pomieszczenia suche i mokre, a ciepłej wody było mnóstwo. Można tam również wygodnie jeść i bawić się. Do malowniczych miejsc można dojść zaledwie w kilka minut. Kupiłem także kilka lokalnych specjałów, żeby przywieźć je ze sobą. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, pieniądze zostały dobrze wydane. Na pewno zatrzymam się tu ponownie, gdy przyjadę tu następnym razem, choćby dla tego ciepłego uczucia!

GGośćWe stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property.
Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it
And it does feel and look like a traditional house.
You feel you are going back in time.
Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs.
He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city.
Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions.
Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him.
Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm.
On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour.
Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class.
The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved
The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk.
The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

The location is at the center of the old City. Close to many tourist attractions and the busy south street.
The hotel rooms are just IN the traditional Shanxi luxury mansion. Very unique experience.
But what makes the stay one of the best is the butler service. From the pre-arrival arrangement, post-arrival introduction of the old house, to the patient and warm service to our inquiries and requests, Juan’Er makes the stay really enjoyable.

We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so
If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets.
The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam,
With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city.
I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

Znajduje się przy alejce w centralnej części miasta, która jest cicha i wygodna do zwiedzania gdziekolwiek. Szef był bardzo entuzjastyczny i nawet jeździł na elektrycznym osiołku, aby pomóc nam odebrać bagaże. Podczas odprawy przedstawił także trasy podróży i zalecenia dotyczące jedzenia. . Trochę niezadowalające jest to, że cena wzrosła czterokrotnie podczas Święta Wiosny, ale sprzęt i usługi nie wzrosły. Na przykład ciepła woda była zbyt mała, aby wziąć prysznic i nie zapewniono kapci je samodzielnie. Sieć w pokoju narożnym była bardzo słaba, a grzejnik był zimny w ciągu dnia. Dlatego mój pobyt był trochę niezadowalający.

PPanPivoI must highly recommend this wonderful hotel in the historic centre of Pingyao. The hotel is really authentic, well equipped, the room was beautiful and I didn't miss anything during my stay. The owner is very nice and helpful, he was able to help me with everything. The front desk is guarded by a small, beautiful dog who gives you a proper greeting. Everything is a short walk from the hotel yet it is in a quiet area where you won't be disturbed. Not choosing this hotel for my stay would be a big mistake. Thank you very much

Tento nádherný hotel v historickém centru města Pingyao musím vřele doporučit. Hotel je opravdu autentický, dobře vybavený, pokoj byl krásný a během pobytu mi nic nechybělo. Majitel je velmi milý a ochotný, se vším mi dokázal pomoci. Recepci hlídá malý, krásný pejsek, který vás náležitě přivítá. Vše je kousek od hotelu a přitom je v klidné oblasti, kde vás nebude nikdo rušit. Nevybrat si tento hotel pro svůj pobyt by byla velká chyba. Moc děkuji

Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.
