„Zatrzymaliśmy się w zabytkowym budynku. Po wizycie w posiadłości rodziny Wang w ciągu dnia, wieczorem zameldowaliśmy się w Qigongguan, czując się jak zamożna rodzina. 【Parking】 Przyjechaliśmy samochodem. Właściciel wysłał nam lokalizację parkingu poza starym miastem, a następnie odebrał nas pojazdem. 【Zameldowanie】 Właściciel uprzejmie narysował mapę i opowiedział nam o głównych atrakcjach i trasach w Pingyao. 【Udogodnienia】 Cała atmosfera dziedzińca była wspaniała, zwłaszcza wieczorem. Przy ćmianym świetle czerwonych lampionów czuliśmy się, jakbyśmy przenieśli się w czasie do późnej dynastii Qing i wczesnej Republiki. Gdyby nie było tak zimno, na pewno siedzielibyśmy na zewnątrz, pijąc wino i rozmawiając. Jednak zabytkowe budynki mają swoje wady – dodanie nowoczesnych udogodnień z pewnością nie zapewni takiego samego komfortu. Klimatyzacja była ustawiona na 30 stopni, a mimo to przez całą noc było nam zimno. Prysznic miał słaby strumień wody, a kilka strużek zimnej wody przeciekało, więc jednocześnie braliśmy gorący prysznic i czuliśmy zimne krople na ciele. Zgłosiliśmy ten problem właścicielowi, mając nadzieję, że zostanie szybko naprawiony.”

„Można śmiało powiedzieć, że to był jak dotąd najlepszy hotel w Chinach (a byłem w wielu miastach). Oferują bezpłatny odbiór z bramy miejskiej i z powrotem, skąd można łatwo dojechać taksówką na dworzec kolejowy (około 20 juanów). Hotel znajduje się w centrum starożytnego miasta, co dodatkowo potęguje jego wspaniałą atmosferę. Budynki hotelu są bardzo stare, ale w fantastycznym stanie (jakby wybudowane wczoraj). Już sam spacer do pokoju przez wiejski dziedziniec to niesamowite uczucie. Cały personel biegle władał językiem angielskim, był niezwykle gościnny i hojny. Sam pokój był bardzo przestronny i niesamowicie czysty. Wyposażony we wszystkie niezbędne udogodnienia, takie jak ogrzewanie i klimatyzacja, ekskluzywny router Wi-Fi. W łazience były dodatkowe buty, a nawet suszarka do włosów. Dostaliśmy świeże szczoteczki i pastę do zębów. Wanna również jest niesamowita, a deszczownica ma świetną temperaturę (co jest dla mnie ważne, ponieważ nie lubię bawić się mieszaczem wody). „Tym razem miałem bardzo komfortowy pobyt w innym zajeździe! Już po przekroczeniu progu domu poczujesz się jak w domu. Podwórko jest pełne kwiatów i roślin. Tak wygodnie jest siedzieć na krześle i pić herbatę na słońcu. Szef był bardzo entuzjastyczny i rozmawiał ze mną tak, jakby rozmawiał ze mną w domu. Dał mi nawet prezent zanim wyjechałem. Pokój był bardzo czysty, a pościel i kołdry pachniały słońcem. W łazience znajdowały się oddzielne pomieszczenia suche i mokre, a ciepłej wody było mnóstwo. Można tam również wygodnie jeść i bawić się. Do malowniczych miejsc można dojść zaledwie w kilka minut. Kupiłem także kilka lokalnych specjałów, żeby przywieźć je ze sobą. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, pieniądze zostały dobrze wydane. Na pewno zatrzymam się tu ponownie, gdy przyjadę tu następnym razem, choćby dla tego ciepłego uczucia!”

„We had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.”

Conveniently located about 100m from the main street in the ancient city and the South gate tower. The room was beautifully appointed in a traditional manner with lovely Chinese objet d’art, and matched their online pictures. We were picked up and dropped off from the train station, and our daily breakfast bento box was interesting, generous and delicious. There was also wontons or noodles, coffee, juice and yoghurt. The staff looked after us well.

Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here. The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town. We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice). The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great. Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!! The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful. Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).

Very good location. Within the old town and close to many attractions and to the lower west gate where taxis can drop passengers. Very good services from staff. The hotel was converted from an old mansion which is a tourist attraction in itself. Do note that there are steps between the entrance and most rooms. Also, our room was over two floors. While these steps and stairs do not bother us it is something to note.

Exceptional Service and State-of-the-Art Facilities ! ”I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The experience started perfectly with a complimentary pickup service at the train station, where the staff was waiting for me with a welcome sign. The hotel owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful, even lending me a portable translator to help with my communication during the trip. The room is very modern and equipped with high-tech facilities. The bed is soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning system works perfectly for both heating and cooling. I was particularly impressed by the in-room water dispenser (both hot and cold water) and the massive projector screen which provided great entertainment. The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautifully presented set. Every detail was taken care of with heart. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hospitable stay!”

Ping Gong Guan was such a delightful surprise! It's a genuine century-old Jin merchant courtyard, with exquisite brick and wood carvings. The red lanterns create a wonderfully ancient and atmospheric vibe – every photo you take looks like a traditional Chinese masterpiece. The location is superb, close to the North Gate of the Ancient City and Majia Courtyard, and just a 5-minute walk to the Ming and Qing Old Street. The owner is incredibly enthusiastic, offering pick-up and drop-off service at the ancient city gate, patiently explaining travel routes, helping to buy show tickets, and even giving Shanxi aged vinegar as a souvenir.

Szef był bardzo entuzjastyczny i nawet jeździł na elektrycznym osiołku, aby pomóc nam odebrać bagaże. Podczas odprawy przedstawił także trasy podróży i zalecenia dotyczące jedzenia. . Trochę niezadowalające jest to, że cena wzrosła czterokrotnie podczas Święta Wiosny, ale sprzęt i usługi nie wzrosły. Na przykład ciepła woda była zbyt mała, aby wziąć prysznic i nie zapewniono kapci je samodzielnie. Sieć w pokoju narożnym była bardzo słaba, a grzejnik był zimny w ciągu dnia. Dlatego mój pobyt był trochę niezadowalający.

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.

I must highly recommend this wonderful hotel in the historic centre of Pingyao. The hotel is really authentic, well equipped, the room was beautiful and I didn't miss anything during my stay. The owner is very nice and helpful, he was able to help me with everything. The front desk is guarded by a small, beautiful dog who gives you a proper greeting. Everything is a short walk from the hotel yet it is in a quiet area where you won't be disturbed. Not choosing this hotel for my stay would be a big mistake. Thank you very much -‐----------------------- Tento nádherný hotel v historickém centru města Pingyao musím vřele doporučit. Hotel je opravdu autentický, dobře vybavený, pokoj byl krásný a během pobytu mi nic nechybělo. Majitel je velmi milý a ochotný, se vším mi dokázal pomoci. Recepci hlídá malý, krásný pejsek, který vás náležitě přivítá. Vše je kousek od hotelu a přitom je v klidné oblasti, kde vás nebude nikdo rušit. Nevybrat si tento hotel pro svůj pobyt by byla velká chyba. Moc děkuji
