The location is superb, close to the North Gate of the Ancient City and Majia Courtyard, and just a 5-minute walk to the Ming and Qing Old Street. The owner is incredibly enthusiastic, offering pick-up and drop-off service at the ancient city gate, patiently explaining travel routes, helping to buy show tickets, and even giving Shanxi aged vinegar as a souvenir.”

Chciałbym zwrócić uwagę na to, że na dziedzińcu jest wiele schodów ze względu na historyczny charakter budynku, przez co trudno jest dźwigać duże walizki. Dodatkowo, od 10:30 do 23:00 odbywają się sesje fotograficzne. Sugeruję zarezerwować cichą salę w głębi budynku. Poza tym jestem zadowolony z obsługi, a zajazd jest piękny.”

„A very beautiful hotel that takes you back in time. The hotel is a work of art and has also a very relaxing outdoor traditional garden. We opted for the traditional beds and we had a great time. Service was spotless and very attentive. The hotel is located right by the main streets and you can walk to the attractions easily. We definitely recommend this hotel.”

„PROS: Great new hotel that's just outside of the Ping Yao's north gate. It was nice to be outside of the old city and get a taste of the local atmosphere. The front staff, cleaning ladies were all incredibly gracious warm and welcoming. The laundry area was well kept, they provided contact solution, womens products and some other extras not usually found in other hotels. Overall the hotel looked spectacular. CONS: I did have a problem with the cigarette smoke in the 1st room we were given and had to look at 3 other rooms before settling on a room across from the ”service” station, all night long there was loud banging and thudding, this wasn't too bad because we were exhausted from our day of walking around. Other than that, we had a great stay!”

The whole family with the elderly and children stayed in Qichen, and the experience exceeded expectations! The courtyard is spacious and safe, the children can run freely, the room space is sufficient, the bed is comfortable to sleep, the hygiene is particularly in place, and the elderly are very satisfied. The housekeeper prepared fruit intimately, took the initiative to help carry large luggage, planned the easy parent-child play route in detail, and avoided the crowded crowd. The homestay is quiet and not noisy, the quality of rest is very good, not far from the ancient city attractions, and travel is labor-saving. Obsługa była bardzo miła, a powitanie bardzo dobre. Młoda dama dała mapę i przedstawiła trasy, na których można zjeść posiłek i się bawić. Pokój był mniejszy niż się spodziewałem. Podczas przerwy obiadowej do pokoju przyszła rodzina, która przez pół godziny głośno krzyczała i robiła najróżniejsze hałasy. Dziecko nie wypoczywało wystarczająco i ciągle wpadało w złość. Śniadania nie było, ale na koniec podano nam ocet. Zawsze przyjeżdżał po nas mały autobus.

We had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations. The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out. The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

Pokój jest czysty i cichy, ogrzewanie jest wystarczające, a ciepłej wody do prysznica jest pod dostatkiem. Bardzo wygodnie się tu mieszka! Widok na ogród za oknem jest piękny, idealnie wpisuje się w styl starożytnego miasta Pingyao! Poza sezonem nie odwiedzało nas wielu ludzi i miałam wrażenie, że byliśmy tam tylko ja i moi przyjaciele! Jedyny mały minus to brak centralnej osi w rolce papieru toaletowego, przez co nie da się go włożyć do rolki i zwinąć.

The ancient city Pingyao and the Yundingxuan hotel blowed our mind. The hotel provide free pickup from the train station. We took the high speed train arrived at Pingyaocheng station which is around 15 minutes away from the ancient city. When you enter the city wall gate, you will be amazed of the narrow streets and cobblestone road. Picked Yundingxuan hotel because it was closed to the North gate so If the taxi was to dropped us off it’ll be a short walk but the driver dropped us off near the hotel because cars are not allowed within the main streets. The hotel is closed to 200 years old and have characteristics of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I was born in Vietnam, With roots to China but raised up in the US since I was 7 years old. I’ve seen Chinese movies but nothing will prepare you to the hotel and the ancient city. I was surprised how big the hotel complex was. All the staff were very nice, the main host spoke English, and the breakfasts were traditional Chinese breakfast. We stayed two nights and we felt safe throughout our visit. My wife and daughter appreciated the three hotel cats and all the felines throughout the city. I’m sure the other hotels are fantastic and will give your a unique experience but I can vouch for Yundingxuan. Just be prepared to get out your comfort zone but be amazed by the visual and taste of Pingyao Ancient City.

Plusy + To nowe i piękne miejsce na pobyt. + Bardzo miła, przyjazna i uprzejma obsługa. + Przestronna łazienka. + Jeśli wychodzisz wcześniej, taksówkarz może odebrać cię przed hotelem. Minusy — Hotel jest zbyt drogi. — Nie jest to hotel dla niepalących. Dym unosił się nawet w lobby, a drugiej nocy był wszędzie w naszym pokoju (klimatyzacja?). — Pierwszej nocy spróbowaliśmy kolacji, ale nie była dobra. Mają zdjęcia jedzenia, ale nie pasuje do tego, co dostajesz. Zamówiliśmy sushi z łososiem, a zamiast tego dostaliśmy MROŻONE sushi, które oczywiście nie nadawało się do jedzenia. — Kiedy poprosiliśmy o herbatę na tarasie, zapłaciliśmy 48 juanów za osobę, co jest zdecydowanie za drogie. — Sypialnia jest trochę za mała i ma takie same rozmiary jak łazienka.

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.

Mój pobyt w Red Lantern Inn w Pingyao był absolutnie niezapomniany! Od momentu przyjazdu właściciel był niesamowicie przyjazny i zapewnił pełną obsługę gościnności. Zostałem nawet przywitany przemyślanym prezentem w postaci octu podczas zameldowania. Hotel jest wyjątkowy i uroczy, nie jest typowym nowoczesnym hotelem. Recepcja znajduje się w sklepie z przodu, ale nazwa hotelu jest wyraźnie wyświetlana, dzięki czemu łatwo go znaleźć. Wskazówki na Trip.com były dokładne i chociaż jest to trochę spacer od North Gate, warto. Atmosfera zajazdu jest czarująca, przenosząc Cię do starożytnych Chin. Pokoje są prosto zaprojektowane, ale bardzo wygodne. Hotel oferuje również wypożyczenie tradycyjnych strojów do zdjęć, co było przyjemnym doświadczeniem. Tym, co naprawdę się wyróżniało, była wyjątkowa obsługa. Właściciel pomógł nam zorganizować autobus na zwiedzanie, a nawet zapewnił bezpłatny przejazd na stację kolejową Pingyaogucheng, mimo że była dość daleko. Samochód był przestronny i wygodny. Na dokładkę doświadczyłem tutaj pierwszego opadu śniegu, co uczyniło mój pobyt jeszcze bardziej magicznym. Gorąco polecam Red Lantern Inn każdemu odwiedzającemu Pingyao. To miejsce, które oferuje nie tylko pobyt, ale także niezapomniane doświadczenie kulturowe!
