„Windsor Han-Guan is an excellent place to stay in Jiufen, with nice clean rooms, eclectic homely interior design for each room, magnificent views and very close to the Jiufen Old Street. The check-in place is also a cafe open to the public, located along Qingbian Road, but note that this is a narrow one-lane red-line road that stritcly prohibits even temporary stopping for whatever reasons. Thus taxis will generally stop elsewhere, such as at the public bus stop and drop-off area nearby the police station, along Qiche Road. The homestay B&B's kind staff will offer to transport only your luggage to the B&B but you will need to walk to the B&B yourself, which is quite near, involving a walk up the flight of steps next to the police station. „We stayed here for two nights. The owner is very nice and helpful. My wife had motion sickness and she gave us some ginger tea to help relieve the upset stomach. We really appreciate her kindness. The location is good, on 54.2km Tai 18 Route (台 18线），very close to Tea and Mist trail and Eryanping trail. Linchuo (林厝） station is 200 meters away and Xiding (隙顶）station also very close. Bus #7322 carries you from the above stations to Alishan Station in 1 hour. It’s great for a day trip. When we choose places to stay, we care about room cleanliness and shower water pressure. We are very happy with both. Breakfast is included and served on rooftop with beautiful mountain views. If simple but good enough for us. You can also enjoy the sunrise here.”

Alishan Hotel Dafeng Resort is about 75 kilometers east of Chiayi City, east of Yushan Mountain Range and adjacent to Yushan National Park. It is located in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, about 2,200 meters above sea level, right behind the Tourist Service Center, close to shopping streets, restaurants, train stations, bus stations and tourist service centers, and transportation is very convenient., and can book sunrise tours to Yushan National Park. The hotel uses electric blankets all year round, and heating equipment is provided in winter (computer-controlled below 7 degrees C).
„The hotel is newly renovated and very modern and clean. It is about 6-7 deg at night in Alishan and the hotel bed has electric blankets which kept us very warm. The location which is just a 2 min walk to the main Alishan train station and restaurant area is fantastic if you want to see the famous Alishan sunrise. The staff provided good tips and made sure we knew where to catch our bus to Sun Moon Lake. Note there is no kettle in the room but there is cold and hot water dispenser on each floor. There is also no fridge in the room but you can use the common fridge on the first floor. Will highly recommend this hotel!”

„The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a shuttle bus from the visitor center, and it’s also very close to the Trees area, making it easy to explore on foot. Both dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious. I recommend arriving before 3 p.m. if possible leave your luggage at the hotel, take some time to walk around nearby, then come back for dinner. We only stayed for one night and arrived late in the mountains around 8 p.m., almost missing dinner. The hotel staff were incredibly thoughtful and kind, and they helped us so we were still able to enjoy our meal. The food was great, and all the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!”

„The hotel was lovely we stayed there for the lantern festival but it was pretty far from anything else! Room was nice and the staff were great! Very friendly as a foreigner! Snacks in room were ok but a free coffee machine in the hotel to be able to get a latte or milk tea would be much appreciated!”

„After reading horror stories on google reviews, as well as on this platform, I thought I had wasted my money. However, the opposite appeared to be true. The room was clean, including the bathroom (little to no signs of mold at all in my room). The room even came with a functioning sauna, which was a very nice way to relax after a long cold day. Front desk asked me if I wanted a wake-up call which I gladly accepted - and they actually did provide the call. Though, setting your own alarm is not that difficult either. Yes, the bed has a very hard mattress, but this is quite common for 2 to 3 star hotels in Asia. Yes, the water is only hot between certain times, but it's still warm enough after it. The only true downside I experienced is that you can indeed hear everything from the neighbors, but then again, you only have 1 neighbor. All-in-all, this place was well worth it given the scarcity of rooms/hotels in this area.”

„Reviewing from a ”long-stay” (5 nights) point-of-view. Pros: Room is spacious enough for 2 pax + breakfast is not bad. Cons: Our room's toilet smells of mild sewage throughout our stay + sound proofing is not great. Every morning, we were awoken by doors banging/voices from people who went to see the sunrise. Recommend to stay only if you're budget conscious and have your own transport (which is recommended for all stays in Alishan anyways).”

„This is the ideal hotel for Alishan hikers! The staff is incredibly helpful and provided us with a complete itinerary for the area. We were particularly impressed when they called every room to announce the updated schedule for the first Alishan railway run to catch the sunrise. While the room is small, this is understandable given the National Park setting.”

„Cars were mostly in bad condition, wrecked, engine too loud, too slow, easily overheat, ran out of battery multiple times. Breakfast was not delicious honestly. But the bedroom was spacious, clean, and had big tub, though the pillows were too flat which caused neck pain the next morning.”

Very good ambience, nice scenery. Well organised. We stayed in Lilac, facing mountain view. Toilet big. Perhaps can have a basket to hold the hair dryer besides toilet plug. . Breakfast is good. Besides toast, they serve each occupant a set tray of baked chicken with veg and fruits. They also provide Alishan tea variety to let occupants sample Alishan tea at breakfast. Perhaps can put in room as well. Good marketing for Alishan tea. Free flow of hot and cold water just outside room at the community hall. So save you the trouble to boil water. Thermo flask and lukewarm water also provided in the room.

Właściciel pensjonatu był bardzo przyjazny, dzwonił wcześniej, aby potwierdzić rezerwację i pozostawał w kontakcie przez cały pobyt. Pokój był czysty i pomimo tego, że był to wyjazd last minute, byłem bardzo zadowolony z rezerwacji tego pensjonatu. Dziękuję właścicielowi pensjonatu!

Zabraliśmy rodzinę na wycieczkę, żeby zobaczyć świetliki. Trafił nam się ulewny deszcz, ale na szczęście ustał przed zmierzchem. Właściciel i jego żona byli bardzo gościnni i poczęstowali nas swoją herbatą wysokogórską. Kolacja była bardzo sycąca i bardzo wartościowa! Po kolacji wybraliśmy się również na wycieczkę w poszukiwaniu świetlików. Chociaż był to koniec sezonu, widzieliśmy kilka okazjonalnych świetlików. Śniadanie było proste i bardzo smaczne zarówno dla dzieci, jak i osób starszych. Zanim wyjechaliśmy, żona właściciela dała nam kilka śliwek z własnej plantacji, które moja mama uwielbiała! To była wspaniała wycieczka!

I am very satisfied. I stay here almost every month. But this is the first time I booked using the trip.com app. When I checked in, the receptionist looked confused when I said that I had booked through the app. I waited for about 20 minutes outside before I could enter. But because I am used to staying here, I didn't mind. I added 2 hours, but the voucher cannot be used on the app and for additional time. So my voucher from last month was wasted. But it's okay, I really enjoyed my break.

這個民宿可以説是這一次去阿里山的額外收穫。在離開高雄之前的早上才從攜程下單，因為它寫着2026年剛剛開業，關鍵是離阿里山遊客中心大約一個小時的路程，如果第二天早上天氣好，可以直接去坐小火車看玉山日出，沒想到下了整整一天雨。google maps指了一條錯誤的路線，讓我把車開到了一個偏僻的小村莊死衚衕，幾乎無法調頭出來。與店家聯繫後再到一個加油站等，女主人親自來接我，到了這個民居，感覺主人應是一位藝術家。簡單而又不簡陋，因地制宜。由於衹有我一個客人，享受了一晚的特殊待遇，Wi-Fi出了故障，女主人想辦法到鄰居借了給我用，第二天早餐專門做了寬麪條湯麪還有台式小菜，加上兩個荷包蛋，我一整碗連湯不剩吃完了。值得向自駕遊（免費停車）夥伴推薦。

Hotel znajduje się w połowie drogi na szczyt góry i jest bardzo stary. Cały hotel jest przesiąknięty zapachem cuchnących pędów bambusa (w holu, recepcji i restauracji). W pokoju nie ma zapachu, ale czuć go zaraz po wyjściu. Pokój jest czysty, a całość ma bardzo rustykalny charakter. Trochę jak stary japoński hotel. Przyjaciołom, którzy lubią „oryginalną ekologię”, powinno się spodobać. Ja osobiście nie jestem zwolennikiem takich rozwiązań. Przyjaciół z ograniczonym budżetem, powinni zarezerwować nowszy hotel. Kiedy dostęp do ciepłej wody do kąpieli jest ograniczony, wieczorami jest on dostępny w godzinach 17:00-23:00. Zamówienie wyraźnie obejmowało śniadanie, ale po przyjeździe powiedziano mi, że śniadania nie ma i zastąpiono mnie bonem zakupowym 711 o wartości 200 NT$. Hmmm, ponieważ hotel jest na stoku i nie mogę zamówić jedzenia na wynos, bardzo chcę zjeść śniadanie w hotelu. To jest nie do zniesienia. Nazwa hotelu brzmi: duży, ale nie ma otwartej restauracji, tylko bento, ale ponieważ cały hotel jest przesiąknięty zapachem cuchnących pędów bambusa, nie mam ochoty go jeść. Poza tym, wygląda na to, że w hotelu nie ma windy, ale jest wiele schodów, co utrudnia ciągnięcie walizki. W pokoju nie ma lodówki, co utrudnia przechowywanie mrożonych napojów. Ponieważ po zachodzie słońca w górach było trochę zimno, w pokoju działał tylko włącznik klimatyzacji i wyglądało na to, że nie ma ogrzewania.

Don’t get me wrong f, there’s a wonderful Old school charm about this hotel and the staff are very nice, I loved sitting g down for a fresh brew of oolong while we discussed our future plans. But little thi ga like bins not emptied and having to request clean cups is something I do t want to have to do. Its location is beautiful but you need to plan your trip well as it’s midway through a bus route and getting to other places can mean standing room only or sometimes simply not available (we needed a private car To get back to Chiayi hsr) But it’s a nice place with an old school charm and friendly helpful staff. Do t forget to check out the rooftop area… worth it!

Zarezerwowaliśmy 2 różne pokoje na 1 noc. Ogólnie jest to super wygodne i dobra lokalizacja w Alishan. Oferują najrozsądniejsze ceny w okolicy. Jeśli zatrzymujesz się na 1-2 noce, gorąco polecam. W jednym z zarezerwowanych przez nas pokoi dostaliśmy pokój o podwyższonym standardzie. Wygląda na to, że pokój o podwyższonym standardzie został już wcześniej odnowiony w porównaniu z pokojem rodzinnym. Ogólnie jesteśmy zadowoleni.

Location is very central to the park which is the biggest plus point for the hotel. It came with a basic breakfast ( it’s okay to skip if your timing doesn’t fit). The room is small but is consider pretty standard in Taiwan. Staffs are helpful and friendly and you can arrange tour in the hotel. Water pressure for shower is good but the temperature seems like is dependable on other users, so it can be very hot and cold. The room is warm with a dehumidifier. The bed is quite hard but usable. Sound proofing is insufficient, we can hear next door brushing teeth and shower in the middle of the night. Though for the purpose of staying in the Alishan, I would say it would still be a reasonable pricing and stay because it is likely it is a short stay.
