The host and stuff is very friendly by helping with luggage but the international tourists should be aware that the communication with host is available only be telephone in Chinese. It is necessary even for check-in and check-out. It can be not so easy. We were expected to get a little bit more information but you can get help only if you approach the host directly. It is easier to arrive because there are a lot of cars on the station in Xinjie, but it is more complicated to get back to the station. But it is possible to catch a car directly on the road for 30-40 yuan pro person. There are only few restaurants in the walking distance. A lot depends on the weather, without good weather the view is sadly very limited. Before arriving is recommended to take a look in the weather forecast!!”

I have watched the sunrise from both my roof and the official viewing spot, and the viewing experience from the roof was so much more comfortable and good, because there are always a lot of people at the viewing spot, but there is only you on the roof. And the view is almost the same. The rice terraces are 5 minutes from the guesthouse, so anyone can go explore them an then come back home. Second: staff and services. „STRONG ADVOCATE: Our stay here was flawless. The kind hospitality from the hosts and the Hani family is truly heart warming. Beautiful views over expansive rice terraces, and the access to walk down into these  from your doorstep is truly unparalleled. We sought to do a guided day tour across a few villages on a Saturday with the host, which proved to be incredibly insightful, fluid (responsive to our interests), and capacious. She was able to bring to life much of the content at the Hani Cultural Museum. We ate wonderful home cooked meals here, and caught some lovely dawns; altogether felt truly nurtured - thank you! I truly, whole-heartedly recommend this guest house!”

„This is by far one of our most amazing experience in Yunnan ! The hotel is very well located in the Pugaolao village, with a stunning view on the rice terrace. No need to walk, you can just open your curtain and you will have a mesmerizing sunrise. The owner is an angel, so helpful and nice with her customers. This hotel is not located by the roadside; however, it offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere in a Hani village. From the parking area, you need to walk about aprox 150 meters to reach the accommodation. For those who enjoy being far from the hustle and bustle, this place is truly impressive. The breakfast and dinner are delicious, and the service is excellent. There is a temple next to the hotel. It is a small hotel with rooms not more than 10, but it is worth to stay. Rice terrace is right in front of the hotel.

Wonderful ! We stayed for three nights and we had a great stay here in Azheke. Excellent location to see or walk through the UNESCO World Heritage rice fields. We felt very welcomed by the hosts, who invited us to share the dinners with them. We had very warmful and interesting conversations discovering the culture and heritage of the Hani people. Both confortable and authentic, would recommend without hesitation !

I have seen local peaple in this village washing their teeth on the side of the street. With this in mind, it is particularly appreciated that the rooms at this accommodation have perfectly appointed bathrooms with beautiful wall and floor tiling. You can go up to the roof terrace. There you will see a solar collector. This means that there is hot water in the evening, but not in the winter mornings. It's cold here in the mountains in December at night, but thanks to the use of the electric bed heater and the heating fan, I didn't get cold. The hosts are kind and accommodating.

I would say everything was great except the room. Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided. Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

We had a lovely stay at Flowers Residence. They have a friendly resident cat too. The owner Sam is giving some good recommendations and helped us with tickets to platforms and other sightseeing too. He showed us a restaurant nearby and they have a lovely big dog, Capu. We extended our stay because of bad weather. Im glad we did coz we managed to get a beautiful sunrise and see beautiful terrace the next day. Would return again.

Muszę ocenić to miejsce! Po rozejrzeniu się, ostatecznie zdecydowałem się na to, ponieważ ma najdogodniejszą lokalizację. Parking znajduje się tuż obok. Do innych miejsc w wiosce trzeba iść 10 minut po schodach, co jest prawdziwym problemem w tym górzystym terenie, zwłaszcza z bagażem. Pokój był wyjątkowo czysty; chociaż to starszy obiekt, wcale nie wyglądał na stary. Pościel była bardzo wygodna, a koce miękkie i ciepłe, więc spałem bardzo dobrze. Wieczorem rozmawiałem z właścicielem przy kominku w holu – było bardzo przyjemnie. Uwielbiałem kawę; była to kawa speciality, a nie byle jaka, i używali mleka z Zhadian w Yunnanie – przepyszna! Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, lokalizacja, udogodnienia i obsługa były doskonałe.

This was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

Jaka wspaniała lokalizacja dla bycia wśród tarasów! Rozpluliśmy się i dostaliśmy pokój widokowy na taras, i był bardzo miły z wielkim widokiem, wygodne łóżko, ciepłe koce i gorący prysznic. Pokój ma niezablokowany widok na taras. Ale jeśli nie dostaniesz tego pokoju, balkon na górze ma najlepszy widok, ale cieszyliśmy się oglądaniem wschodu słońca z naszego łóżka z gorącą herbatą. Lucian jest naprawdę świetny! On wyjaśnił nam różne opcje wędrówki dla zobaczenia innych widoków. Jego angielski jest naprawdę dobry, więc można go zadać wszelkie pytania o obszar. I had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops. The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
