„Przybywając o 11:15, poproszono mnie o uiszczenie dopłaty w wysokości 20 juanów za godzinę, jeśli chcę wejść do pokoju przed oficjalną godziną zameldowania o 14:00. Hotel wydawał się pusty. Pokoje są czyste, z ładnymi, dużymi oknami. Jest woda butelkowana, czajnik i 2 torby podróżne. Nie ma telewizora, lodówki ani koców, choć koce są dostępne za dodatkową opłatą (hotel znajduje się na wysokości około 1200 m n.p.m., więc wieczorami jest chłodno). Personel nie mówił po angielsku, ale dzięki Tłumaczowi Google udało się zorganizować taksówkę powrotną do KK. Nie ma restauracji ani punktów gastronomicznych, dopóki nie wróci się do głównej drogi – 1,6 km pod górę. Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, personel był zdystansowany, ale pomocny, gdy się do niego zwrócono. Nie zatrzymałbym się tam ponownie.”

„The location is perfect and the check in/ out process is very smooth. There’s only one problem that annoyed us was the doors and the windows in our room caused a very loud noise whenever strong wind outside. Perhaps we stayed in Level 7, lower level might won’t face this kind of noises I think? But overall is good for the cleanliness. The room environment also good since they refurbished their hotel. The view from our room are superb!”

„The location is excellent — conveniently located near the main road, making it easy to find and access. Each room comes with its own private balcony, perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning mountain views of Kundasang. We especially enjoyed our time there as we brought along our own camping table and chairs, which made the balcony experience even more enjoyable. Parking was a breeze — we could park our car right in front of our room, which made unloading luggage super convenient. The on-site café also offered a good variety of food and drinks, whether you’re after a light snack or a satisfying meal. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway in Kundasang!”

„Had such a pleasant family trip! The view, ambience, facilities, and service were all beyond awesome. Bonus: free breakfast for every room. A huge plus is that the place has its own restaurant, so we didn’t have to head out in the dark for dinner. I tried the nasi goreng tuhau and it was sedap! Prices are really affordable too. I know exactly where I’ll be staying next time I’m in Kundasang.”

„Это потрясающее место! В номере 2 кровати и диванчин,немного все уставшее. Но с учетом расположения все компенсируется. Есть насыпная парковка для машин. Можно побродить по чайной плантации,рядом классное кафе с разными блюдами с добавлением чая. Ночью слышны гекконы,птицы и т.д. нашему ребенку это было очень не обычно😅”

„Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Pros: Easy check-in, with a receptionist available. Great location, only about a 5-minute walk to Bataras Supermarket, with Uncle Bob and Aicha in the same row, making it very convenient for food and daily necessities. Although it is close to the supermarket and shops, the area was surprisingly quiet at night. No bad smells in the house or around the toilets. The view is pretty good and better than expected. I requested a ground-floor unit because we had an older guest with us, and they kindly arranged a ground-floor unit for us. Really appreciated this. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The floors and kitchen were clean. The kitchen utensils were also clean, which was a big plus. Many guesthouses have clean rooms but dirty kitchen utensils, so I really appreciated this. The place is spacious and suitable for a big group. Cons: The bidet spray/water pressure was a little too strong, and some of the pipes were leaking. One of the toilets became clogged on the second day. There is a small graveyard nearby, but personally, it was not an issue for us at all. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and felt comfortable throughout. The convenient location, cleanliness, helpful staff, and spacious layout made this a great choice, especially for a big group. We definitely would love to stay here again!”

„July 2024 TL;DR: This place feels more like a meditation centre than a hotel, it will not provide you with supplements. It's a bare room. You need to bring toothbrush&paste and buy drinks somewhere as it is not provided. No tv and fan. No in-house restaurant. There are mosquitoes at the garden near afternoon, and the balcony at night, but there are no insects in the room (family room). In exchange you will get a very clear and vivid Mt Kinabalu view in the near-dawn morning (where there is no mosquito), a working shower with heater, concrete floor that reduces nearby noise, and cold foggy experience. Long: This place is within the fog path so you will get the foggy experience. You can also see Mt. Kinabalu at the right time and it looks quite close (e.g. dawn 6 a.m.). You can even see the electric towers and resthouse, it's that close. Moreover, this place is more like a meditation centre than a hotel. It is visibly run down probably since covid as that is also when the in-house restaurant got closed down. Considering my experience as a recurrent visitor of Kundasang, mosquito has always been the least of my concern. Somehow this place has lots of them. We got bit quite a lot in a short span of time. Undesirable / Cons: -No water kettle, no supplements (water bottle, coffee pack, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.). Porcelain mugs are provided though -No in-house cafe/restaurant but nearby has a few (400 meters at least) -No tv, no fan but cold in general -Quite a lot of mosquito and moths outside at the garden place in the afternoon and at the balcony connecting the 2 buildings at night. There are no electric zapper. -Seems a bit run down at the garden. 2 broken board pieces on the floor for example. -It has no Qibla for muslim people, at least in family room Desirable / Pros: -Big room. Not smelly -Is cement board floor -Big single beds. Not smelly -Clean bed. Fluffy cover. -Water heater is working for family room at least -Relatively clean inside room and at reception. No insects in room. No weird bugs around. -Has a table and chairs in room -Lots of electrical port -Wifi provided by hotel is strong (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz -Very near main road. So good road going towards the hotel -Aki-Aki trail starting point is nearby. Plan to go next time so no experience as of this review This place is not too bad. Not too good either. Personally, I wouldn't place this as my top place for the foggy and view considering other options but I don't mind returning if necessary. It will sure be much much better to highly recommended with much needed renovation and have some methods to deal with those mosquito. p.s. There's a cute puppy that invites you at the entrance. 😂 p.s.s. I saw a greater coucal gliding into the forest in the morning!”
