You sleep in a room on the floor with a flat mattress, a blanket, and a cherry pit pillow. Breakfast is also traditional: fish, rice with a raw egg and soy sauce, tea, and other items. There's a wonderful onsen (hot spring). There isn't a bathroom per se, just a sink and toilet, each separate. The two owners of the guesthouse are extremely kind and helpful. We were driven to and from the restaurant free of charge. If you appreciate or want to experience traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the perfect place."
