"I stayed at HBT Russell Hotel on Rashid Khamis Road in Kampala for approximately three months and unfortunately left with serious concerns regarding both service standards and administrative practices. Throughout my stay, I paid UGX 60,000 per day for accommodation. A notice displayed within the hotel advised guests to collect receipts after payment, but whenever I inquired about obtaining my receipts, reception staff repeatedly informed me that all receipts would be issued upon check-out. When I finally checked out, I requested the tax receipts for the payments I had made during my stay. To my surprise, I was told that the hotel could not produce them because they could not determine or remember my check-in date. Given that I had been a resident guest for around three months and had made regular payments, I found this explanation difficult to understand and highly unsatisfactory. Any hotel should be able to maintain accurate guest records and provide documentation for payments received. I also experienced a noticeable decline in service during the latter part of my stay. Certain staff members, including individuals identified to me as Tabitha and Annett, became increasingly unhelpful and at times openly hostile. The quality of the breakfast also deteriorated significantly, with limited variety and meals consisting mainly of inexpensive starch-based items. A particularly troubling incident occurred shortly before my departure. I arranged for a representative to deliver UGX 350,000 to the hotel on my behalf. I was subsequently informed that a security guard allegedly took possession of the money and forcibly removed the individual from the premises. While I chose not to pursue a police complaint at the time in order to avoid further inconvenience, the incident added to my concerns about the management and oversight of the establishment. My primary concern remains the hotel's apparent inability or unwillingness to provide tax receipts for accommodation payments made over an extended period. For business travelers, long-term guests, and anyone requiring proper documentation, this is a significant issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to guests who value professional administration, transparent record-keeping, and consistent customer service."

"Extremely disappointing and unprofessional handling of a restaurant billing dispute involving a $175 charge. What should have been a simple clarification turned into a confrontational and poorly managed situation with hotel management. Instead of resolving the issue calmly and professionally, the response escalated unnecessarily rather than being handled with basic hospitality standards. I was informed the situation escalated further to the point of police involvement, which felt completely disproportionate to a routine billing disagreement. Dhaval Machhar the manager was very antagonistic and abusive. There was a clear lack of professionalism, communication, and proper de-escalation throughout the interaction. Guests should not be made to feel uncomfortable or pressured over a basic billing query. This hotel urgently needs to review its management approach to handling disputes and improve customer service standards."

"Stayed on BB basis. Should offer variety for breakfast. Friendly staff esp the pool attendant and front office staff. Spacious and clean rooms but lacked sufficient bathroom amenities for the rate they are charging. Loved the gym, pool and the privacy of the hotel."

Hotel oferuje również transfer lotniska i taksówkę do przejazdu wokół miasta Kampala w rozsądnej cenie. Taxi lotniska USD90 to&fro. Jedzenie było wspaniałe i ugandyjskie dania były dostępne. Próbowałem Matooke i podobało mi się."
