"Lovely hotel with a great spa and beautiful overall. The restaurant was very good as well, although quite expensive. Our main disappointment was the change to the kids’ pool access policy. It used to include both a morning and afternoon slot, but children are now only allowed in the morning. It definitely gave the impression that the hotel is moving towards discouraging families from visiting the hotel. Unfortunately, the staff attitude reinforced this feeling. We were repeatedly reminded when our child needed to leave the spa, including being stopped well before the end of the allocated time to make sure we were aware of the cut-off. It just didn’t feel particularly welcoming or family-friendly. That said, it is probably a nice choice for couples looking for a quiet, child-free getaway and who are happy with the premium pricing (for example, around £15 for a glass of wine)."

"Great location and view from the room! Really quick and easy to self check in. Room was spacious and amenities provided - seemed as if the bathroom had just been renovated - really pretty and modern. Great communication with owners. Would recommend!"

"We were only here briefly but need to go back . IT’s everything you need to celebrate finishing the Pennine way. We went to meet our daughter - and could see that the staff are kind and hard working. The landlord is really passionate about his place. On a practical note everything is so clean - toilets are spotless. Beer was spot on and a great choice of non alcoholic drinks available. Please go - take a detour if necessary!!"

"We have just returned home from a 3 night break in Kelso. We didn't travel far, only from Newcastle, but we felt the need for a little break. We chose The Old Priory from the excellent reviews here. We were not disappointed. Robin is the most delightful host. He is a larger than life personality, has an excellent sense of humour, and is incredibly interesting, and knowledgeable. We chatted a lot, and could honestly have talked for hours. We stayed in the study room on the first floor. The bed is enormous and so incredibly comfortable with Gorgeous bedding. All this, plus Shutters and beautiful heavy curtains ensure total darkness for a lovely restful sleep, I wish I slept as well at home as I did here! Cooked Breakfast choices are left the evening before, and there is an ample choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread for toast, and gorgeous jams and marmalades, plus the largest array of teas I've ever seen! . Breakfast always arrived beautifully cooked and piping hot, with lovely hot coffee to help yourself to. There is a conservatory to sit in, and a garden, plus on site parking at the back. The property is very olde worlde, charming, quirky, brimming with history and tales to be told. Robin is very proud of the Old Priory, and rightly so. Thank you for your hospitality Robin, we would love to return if you will have us "

"Inglestone House hosts Colin i Lisa byli bardzo mile widziani, miejsce było bezpłatne, pokoje, w których mieszkaliśmy były przestronne, wygodne z wypoczynkowymi udogodnieniami. Pokój był dobrze wyznaczony, pokój miał płaski telewizor, Twin bardzo wygodne łóżka, pokój do siedzenia i odpoczynku, był też suszarka do włosów. Śniadanie były doskonałe, byliśmy bardzo szczęśliwi z każdego aspektu Inglestone House, gospodarze byli zaangażowani i mieli lokalną wiedzę. Lokalizacja była doskonała kamień przez centrum. Na pewno wrócimy!"
