"On arrival I was greeted with staff who looked and acted fed up, they could see I was disabled and used a walking stick, no one offered to open the door to the rooms which was very heavy. Once through said door I was hit with the most disgusting smell and spoke to the poor couple who's bathroom it was coming from. They told me they'd reported it but was only offered the room next door which also smelled. The carpet in the corridor to the rooms was disgusting covered in stains. I only ate there 1 night as the food was microwaved and obviously bought in precooked, the walls were covered in marks which could've done with a lick of paint. Outside the hotel was littered with cigarette butt's. Staff never smiled and always looked and acted like they were fed up and obviously couldn't even to pretend to enjoy their jobs and always made me feel like I was bothering them. I know Kendal and know this hotel is relatively new but you'd never know it. After recently staying in a Premier Inn in Glasgow I was shocked at the difference. It may be a so called budget hotel but they certainly don't have budget prices. "

Pomimo, że był na autostradzie, był to dzięki Bogu bardzo cicho. Rejestracja była doskonała, pani na służbie była bardzo przyjazna i pomocna. Jednak następnego ranka, kiedy gotowaliśmy się do wyjścia zdałem sobie sprawę, że było tylko jedna ręcznik dla 2 gości. Jestem pewien, że mogliśmy mieć kolejną, ale nie zdążyliśmy zdawać sobie sprawę, dopóki nie potrzebowaliśmy jej! 2 gości powinny = 2 ręczniki nie jeden. Będzie używać ponownie, jeśli będzie to konieczne."

"An absolutely beautiful and spacious room with an extremely comfortable bed and a lovely bay window at the front of the house. Warm, cosy and comfortable and very well equipped. Breakfast was of an exceptionally high standard and was by far the best we’ve ever had! A plentiful selection of high quality pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts and cheeses. The cooked breakfast was delicious (especially the bacon) with locally sourced produced. Glynis was the perfect host; very friendly and gave us some great information about the local area and suggestions on where to visit. Kendal was such a lovely place that we’re already planning a return visit and when et do, we’ll most definitely be staying here. Thanks for a lovely stay!"
