Great little family-run hotel. I mostly had contact with the son, who was very friendly and helpful and spoke English, but the whole family seems very nice. I highly recommend this place to get a great feel for the friendliness and spirit of Kinmen. A few key points that you might find helpful: 1. The double room has a shared bathroom, but they allowed me to upgrade to a private bath for just a little extra. 2. The Internet is reliable and fast. 3. Breakfast is very good, prompt and includes coffee. 4. They have pickup/return service to the port...use that service, because otherwise youll have trouble finding it (the map location on ctrip isnt very accurate) 5. You can rent a scooter for 350TWD per day without fussing over a lot of paperwork (they can also rent bicycles, but I dont know the price). 6. They speak enough English to get you by. 7. The shower is hot, day or night. 8. Its centrally located on the island, but theres not a lot within walking distance. 9. Its generally pretty quiet; I heard two loud airplanes, but that was in the afternoon. Theres also a psychotic rooster in the distance that crows day and night (but hes far enough away to be faint). 10. Theres a hot water dispenser on the 2nd floor (right outside the suite) if you want to make youre own coffee or tea. I would certainly use them again. Great place. Great people.

We hope to find a quiet and less crowded place during the National Holidays, and take the baby to spend leisurely and relax. Jindunyuan Homestay has completely fulfilled this wish for us. The surroundings of the homestay are very quiet. I can't hear any noisy traffic or people when I sleep at night, and some are just the sound of insects and wind, which is exactly the environment my husband wants.
