"The website for this hotel displays photos of the property and states, "As we all know, pictures say more than 1000 words." Picture a long day of travel and looking forward to a nice dinner and spa facilities as promised--only to come upon a hotel completely surrounded by scaffolding, the restaurant closed-- with the only option an outdoor patio with a view of the scaffolding offering beer and pizza. We prepaid for three nights. We contacted the booking agency, who contacted the hotel to see if we could get a refund and stay elsewhere, but the hotel ignored the request. This is not right. We should have been aware of these renovations before booking this hotel. We should not have been charged the full price for staying there."
