Hotel Koga Hills (Former: Koga Ark Hotel)
"My family member contracted COVID-19, so I'm staying here as a temporary refuge due to an unavoidable appointment at the beginning of the week. It's in the city center, close to the station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. The parking lot is a bit small, only fitting about 15 cars. I was staying for two nights starting Friday, but I finished work early on Saturday afternoon and was allowed back into the hotel. I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I took some medicine and slept in. The room has a Showa-era feel to it; it's not exactly beautiful, but it is clean. On weekdays, they offer a free curry dinner every day until Friday (I'm not sure how long this will last, so check beforehand). Breakfast is also free, but while it's not bad, it's not particularly good either. The miso soup, in particular, is watery and the ladle is too small. The amenities are plentiful, and you can choose shampoo, conditioner, and body soap at the front desk. There's also coffee, tea, green tea, and a microwave. Comic books are available on bookshelves in front of the elevators on each floor for browsing. The walls are thin and offer no soundproofing; you can hear the noise from outside, from the hallway, and even the TV in the room. The unit bathroom is admittedly a bit small, and the shower head holder is weak and loose, causing a flood. I hope they improve this. Overall, the cost performance is acceptable, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a generous budget."
