"Starting from Frankfurt, I drove 158 kilometers and finally arrived at the Seven Peaks Mountain in Konigswinter, the suburb of Bonn, the capital of West Germany. I took a slow walk along the mountain road and overlooked the "Dragon Castle" that witnessed German history and the most beautiful section of the Rhine Valley! Fortunately, I was able to book the century-old Steinberg Grand View Hotel located halfway up the mountain just one week before departure. When I walked into the lobby, I unexpectedly discovered that many world leaders, including Grandpa Jiang and Clinton, had stayed here. This hotel is similar to the Xijiao Hotel in Shanghai and the Diaoyutai in Beijing... Put down your luggage and walk up the trails on the back mountain of the hotel step by step, while experiencing the beauty of the natural oxygen bar, you will discover the magic of the ruins of the medieval church and the former site of the Petersberg Mountain Road Railway Station."

"We had booked through Arcor and traveled with our dog. First, an unfriendly gentleman informed us that dogs had to be registered. We had, of course, done this on the Arcor booking portal. Then we were sternly and relentlessly informed that dogs could not be walked during breakfast time from 6:30 a.m. onwards, as it would disturb guests having breakfast. The route out of the hotel leads past the tables, but at a sufficient distance. All the talking was to no avail, so I set my alarm for the following day to make sure we could walk the dog in time. If we hadn't been so exhausted, we would have looked for alternative accommodation. When we left, a very friendly lady was on duty who declared her colleague's ban to be completely untrue. She apologized and offered us a room for the return journey at a lower price. That was very nice, of course, but we will stay in a different hotel on the way home."

"Nice hotel. The young lady from the reception was very friendly and provided me with all the information and restaurant recommendations for dinner. The single room was very clean and nicely designed. It was to the side street and was therefore pleasantly quiet. I deliberately chose for the vegan breakfast. But afterwards I have to say, as a Rhinesteig Wanderer, I need something hand-fast. There was a floor full of small delicacies. All was made by yourself and prepared with love, but just not the right for me. The price of something above €18 I think it is fair. That has done a lot of work.
